28 жовтня 1944 року останній німецький солдат під натиском Радянської армії залишив найзахідніший регіон України – Закарпаття. Українську землю визволяли воїни, які були представниками майже всіх республік колишньої радянської імперії. 

Натепер історики, які досліджують тему визволення України, не можуть назвати точної кількості полеглих українців. Але в одному вони одностайні: втрати були жахливими. Особливо моторошним виявився штурм Києва у жовтні 1943 року, коли Сталін наказав взяти місто до чергової річниці жовтневого заколоту. На шести кілометровому клаптику землі загинуло понад 250 тисяч солдатів, із яких значну частину становили щойно мобілізовані селяни в домотканих свитках.

Напередодні річниці цієї події здобувачі освіти 2 курсу 8 групи медичного факультету №1 разом із кураторкою Наталією Корчан та за підтримки завідувача кафедри анатомії людини Олега Шерстюка організували та провели виховний захід.

Олександр Дубинський підготував презентацію та цікаву змістовну доповідь. На заході були присутні здобувачі освіти 14 групи 1 курсу стоматологічного факультету з викладачем Володимиром Литовкою та 11 групи 1 курсу медичного факультету №1 з викладачем Ігорем Федорченком. 

Наприкінці заходу присутні вшанували пам'ять загиблих хвилиною мовчання.

October 28 marks the Anniversary of the Expulsion of Nazi Occupiers from Ukraine

On October 28, 1944, under the attack of the Soviet Army, the last German soldier left the westernmost region of Ukraine - Transcarpathia. Ukrainian land was liberated by warriors who represented almost all the republics of the former Soviet empire.

Nowadays, historians researching the topic of Ukraine's liberation cannot specify the exact number of Ukrainian casualties. However, they unanimously agree on one thing: the losses were horrifying. The battle of Kyiv in October 1943 turned out to be particularly gruesome, when Stalin ordered the city to be taken by the next anniversary of the October coup. Over a six-kilometer stretch of land, more than 250 thousand soldiers perished, a significant number of whom were recently mobilized peasants in homespun attire.

On the eve of the anniversary of this event, second-year students of the 8th group of the Medical Faculty No.1, together with their curator Nataliia Korchan and with the support of Prof. Oleh Sherstiuk, Head of the Department of Human Anatomy, organized and held an educational event.

Oleksandr Dubinskyi prepared a presentation and an informative report. The event was attended by the first-year students from the 14th group of the Faculty of Dentistry and the 11th group of the 1st year of Medical Faculty No. 1 with the lecturers Volodymyr Lytovka, and Ihor Fedorchenko.

At the end of the event, those present paid tribute to the memory of the fallen with a minute of silence.
