Свій поважний 90-річний ювілей бібліотекарі ПДМУ присвятили всім Захисникам та Захисницям України, які щодня виборюють для українців можливість працювати, навчатися і жити. Через це яскрава історико-ілюстративна виставка книжок з історії та культури України «Мужність залишається у віках» стала центральною локацією в адміністративному холі Університету цього дня. Організатори наголосили на вагомості вивчення власної історії студентами-медиками саме сьогодні, щоб розуміти і планувати своє майбутнє на українській землі. Також протягом дня тривала акція зі збору речей першої необхідності для наших воїнів.
До уваги відвідувачів була представлена історико-тематична виставка «Мій храм — бібліотека, бо душа моя в ній», а також книжковий перегляд нових надходжень з медицини. У читальній залі бібліотекарі підготували цікаву локацію з робочим місцем бібліотекаря минулого століття з раритетними інвентарними книгами та іншим приладдям.
Працівники бібліотеки на чолі з її директоркою Ольгою Боровик у ювілейний день приймали щирі вітання та слова вдячності від адміністрації Університету, ректора ПДМУ, професора Вячеслава Ждана, колег і студентів, постійних своїх читачів, і, користуючись нагодою, розповідали про історію книгозбірні ПДМУ, її щоденні завдання, виклики часу та будні.
Бібліотека ПДМУ, фонд якої складає більше 380 тисяч примірників, здійснює інформаційне забезпечення освітнього процесу та педагогічної діяльності Інституту. Успішність майбутнього лікаря ЗВО ПДМУ багато в чому залежить від кількості та якості прочитаних ним різних книжок: навчальної, науково-дослідницької, історичної, художньої літератури. У стінах ПДМУ читають — інакше просто й не може бути, а допомогти знайти саме ту книжку завжди допомагають привітні бібліотекарі, від яких часто залежить і майбутній результат благополучної здачі іспитів та семінарів.
Мистецьку частину святкового дійства представили гості ПДМУ, а саме — виступ відомого в Полтаві кобзаря-бандуриста, члена Національної спілки кобзарів України та заслуженого художника України Івана Новобранця, а також виставка картин полтавської художниці та майстрині Олени Юрко.

PSMU Library celebrates 90th anniversary on the National Library Day: details
The PSMU librarians dedicated their venerable 90th anniversary to all the Defenders of Ukraine, who fight for the opportunity to work, study and live for Ukrainians every day. For this reason, the bright historical and illustrative exhibition of books on the history and culture of Ukraine “Courage Remains in the Ages” became the central location in the administrative hall of the University on this day. The organizers emphasized the importance of medical students studying their own history today in order to understand and plan their future on Ukrainian soil. Also, during the day, an action to collect essentials for our soldiers was held.
A historical and thematic exhibition “My temple is a library, because my soul is in it” was presented to the visitors, as well as a book review of new medical books. In the reading room, the librarians prepared an interesting location with the workplace of a librarian of the last century with rare inventory books and other accessories.
The library staff, headed by its director Olha Borovyk, accepted sincere congratulations and words of gratitude from the University administration, PSMU Rector, Professor Viacheslav Zhdan, colleagues and students, regular readers, and, taking this opportunity, talked about the history of the PSMU library, its daily tasks, challenges and everyday life.
The PSMU Library, which has a collection of more than 380 thousand copies, provides information support for the educational process and pedagogical activities of the Institute. The success of a future doctor at PSMU largely depends on the quantity and quality of various books he or she reads: educational, research, historical, and fiction. Within the walls of PSMU, people read – it can't be otherwise, and friendly librarians always help to find the right book, which often determines the future outcome of successful exams and seminars.
The artistic part of the celebration was presented by the guests of PSMU, namely a performance by Ivan Novobranets, a well-known kobzar-bandura player in Poltava, a member of the National Union of Kobzars of Ukraine and Honored Artist of Ukraine, and an exhibition of paintings by Poltava artist Olena Yurko.
