Аспірант кафедри анатомії людини Полтавського державного медичного університету Максименко Олександр у якості члена Глобальної ініціативи для дитячої хірургії отримав запрошення відвідати конференцію і бути спікером. Там він представив мультицентрову роботу: "Pediatric surgical care with mine-blast trauma in wartime: Epidemiology and management". Доповідь справила враження на аудиторію.
Більше 300 дитячих лікарів із 41 різних країн світу були учасниками конференції, серед них і колеги Філіпінської асоціаціації дитячих хірургів.
За мету конференція ставила створити та оптимізувати безпечну й ефективну хірургічну допомогу всьому дитячому населенню незалежно від статі, раси, походження та кольору шкіри. Безпосередньо робота глобальної ініціативи спрямована на допомогу дітям з хірургічною патологією в країнах з низьким та середнім рівнем доходу та країнах з зонами лиха і з вкрай обмеженими ресурсами.

As a member of the Global Initiative for Children's Surgery, Oleksandr Maksymenko, a postgraduate student of the Department of Human Anatomy at Poltava State Medical University, was invited to attend the conference and be a speaker. There he presented a multicenter study: "Pediatric surgical care with mine-blast trauma in wartime: Epidemiology and management". The report impressed the audience.
More than 300 pediatricians from 41 different countries attended the conference, including colleagues from the Philippine Association of Pediatric Surgeons.
The goal of the conference was to create and optimize safe and effective surgical care for the entire pediatric population, regardless of gender, race, origin, or color. The global initiative is directly aimed at helping children with surgical pathology in low- and middle-income countries and countries with disaster zones and extremely limited resources.
