7-8 грудня 2024 року у Львові відбувся благодійний Міжнародний функціональний симпозіум «Оклюзія, мʼязи, СНЩС, постура. Квартет гармонії та балансу». Він був організований громадської організацією «Асоціація ортодонтів Украіни» і присвячений важливості ортодонтичного здоровʼя в концепції загального здоровʼя та цілісного організму людини.
Як Президент Асоціації ортодонтів України, відкрила симпозіум завідувачка кафедри ортодонтії, д. мед. н., професорка Любов Смаглюк. Вона виступила з доповіддю «Персоніфікований підхід при порушеннях функцій зубо-щелепної ділянки». Всього ж було представлено 19 доповідей,і з них - 16 українських лекторів (лікарів-ортодонтів, ортопедів, гнатологів, остеопатів) та 3 іноземних колег (Великобританія, США, Іспанія). Також були представлені постерні доповіді співробітників університету: аспірант кафедри ортодонтії Д. П. Шаєнко, докторант кафедри ортодонтії А. В. Ляховська «Фактори впливу на первинну стабільність мініімплантів», доцент кафедри післядипломної освіти лікарів-стоматологів В. І. Смаглюк, стоматолог-ортопед ТОВ «Ортекс Ст» Б. В. Романенко «Хірургічна компонента в інтегративному підході естетичної, морфо-функціональної реабілітації пацієнтів із адентією латеральних різців верхньої щелепи», доцент кафедри ортодонтії М. І. Дмитренко, здобувач вищої освіти за фахом «Стоматологія» А. С. Шевчик «Дисталізація молярів - сучасний спосіб ортодонтичного лікування».
Проведення симпозіуму дозволило всім учасникам та партнерам долучитися до збору на автомобілі-ортобаггі, які будуть виконувати надважливі завдання на фронті.
Charitable International Functional Symposium: "Occlusion, Muscles, TMJ, Posture. The Quartet of Harmony and Balance": details below
On December 7–8, 2024, the city of Lviv hosted the Charitable International Functional Symposium "Occlusion, Muscles, TMJ, Posture. The Quartet of Harmony and Balance." The event was organized by the Association of Orthodontists of Ukraine and emphasized the importance of orthodontic health in the broader concept of general health and holistic well-being.
The symposium was inaugurated by the President of the Association of Orthodontists of Ukraine, Professor Liubov Smahliuk, who is also the head of the Department of Orthodontics. Her keynote presentation, “A Personalized Approach to Disorders of the Dentofacial Area,” set the tone for the event.
A total of 19 presentations were delivered, including contributions from 16 Ukrainian specialists—orthodontists, prosthodontists, gnathologists, and osteopaths—and three international colleagues from the UK, the USA, and Spain.
Poster presentations were also showcased, highlighting the work of university staff:
- D.P. Shaienko, a PhD student from the Department of Orthodontics, and A.V. Liakhovska, a doctoral student, presented on “Factors Influencing the Primary Stability of Mini-implants.”
- V.I. Smahliuk, Associate Professor from the Department of Postgraduate Education for Dental Practitioners, and B.V. Romanenko, a prosthodontist from Ortex St LLC, shared their findings on “The Surgical Component in the Integrative Approach to Aesthetic and Morphofunctional Rehabilitation of Patients with Lateral Incisor Agenesis in the Maxilla.”
- M.I. Dmytrenko, Associate Professor from the Department of Orthodontics, and A.S. Shevchyk, a dental student, presented their work on “Molar Distalization: A Modern Method of Orthodontic Treatment.”
The symposium also served a charitable purpose, allowing participants and partners to contribute to the purchase of off-road medical buggies, which will perform critical tasks on the frontline.
This event was not only a platform for sharing scientific knowledge and professional insights but also an opportunity to unite the orthodontic community in support of a vital cause.
