Напередодні Всесвітнього дня боротьби проти раку, який щороку припадає на 4 лютого, було проведено лекцію на тему: "Роль сімейного лікаря в діагностиці, лікуванні та профілактиці онкологічних захворювань ротової порожнини, шкіри та молочної залози». Захід організований за ініціативи волонтерського загону "Єдність" та підтримки кафедри онкології та радіології з радіаційною медициною і профспілкової організації студентів ПДМУ.
Лекція була проведена з метою довести значущість ранньої діагностики візуальних форм раку, показати важливість ролі сімейного лікаря та інших спеціалістів, які вперше побачивши пацієнта, можуть запідозрити онкологічне захворювання та направити до спеціалізованого закладу. Проведений захід важливий, адже зараз спостерігається тенденція зростання випадків запущених форм раку, які значно зменшують шанси на одужання та унеможливлюють мінімальні втручання й органозберігаючі операції.
Організатори вдячні лекторам за дуже змістовну та корисну інформацію, а також здобувачам вищої освіти ПДМУ за небайдужість та зацікавленість.
Lecture on the importance of early cancer diagnosis for PSMU students
On the eve of World Cancer Day, marked on February 4th each year, a lecture was held on the topic: "The Role of the Family Doctor in the Diagnosis, Treatment and Prevention of Oncological Diseases of the Oral Cavity, Skin and Mammary Glands." The event was organized by the initiative of the volunteer group "Unity" with the support of the Department of Oncology and Radiology with Radiation Medicine and the Student Trade Union Organization of PSMU.
The lecture aimed to emphasize the significance of early diagnosis of visual forms of cancer, demonstrate the importance of the role of the family doctor and other specialists who, upon first seeing a patient, may suspect oncological diseases and refer them to a specialized medical facility. The event was crucial, as the cases of advanced cancer forms are tending to increase, significantly reducing chances of recovery and preventing minimally invasive and organ-preserving surgeries.
