13 травня минуло 175 років від дня народження Панаса Мирного, класика української літератури, нашого славетного земляка.
Здобувачі вищої освіти 1-ого курсу 11-ої групи спеціальності «Терапія та реабілітація» разом із доценткою кафедри українознавства та гуманітарної підготовки ПДМУ Оленою Шевченко в цей день відвідали садибу-музей класика української літератури Панаса Рудченка, більш відомого світові під творчим псевдонімом Панас Мирний. Він назавжди ввійшов до скарбниці української літератури як один із провідних прозаїків другої половини XIX століття, автор реалістично-психологічної прози. Панас Мирний був першим, хто вивів українську літературу на нові “рейки” епічної прози, розкривши образи близької йому за духом непомітної “маленької людини” – українських дворян і чиновників, поміщиків, інтелігента-різночинця, торговців, селян.
Музей Панаса Мирного — один із найбагатших в Україні за кількістю меморіальних експонатів. Близько тисячі речей, книжок, документів і фотографій розміщено в семи кімнатах будинку письменника. Тут зберігаються рукописи, першодруки творів Панаса Мирного, спогади про нього сучасників.
Площа садиби – півтора гектара. У центрі подвір’я стоїть дерев’яний будинок, поруч альтанка, навколо сад, де збереглися дерева, кущі, посаджені письменником. Від веранди будинку через садок до ставка йде алея – улюблене місце прогулянок Панаса Мирного після роботи.

On the 175th anniversary of the birth of Panas Myrnyi
May 13 marked the 175th anniversary of the birth of Panas Myrnyi, a classic of Ukrainian literature, our famous countryman.
On this day, the first-year students of the group 11 majoring in "Therapy and Rehabilitation" together with Olena Shevchenko, Associate Professor of the Department of Ukrainian Studies and Humanities of PSMU, visited the estate-museum of the classic of Ukrainian literature Panas Rudchenko, better known to the world under the creative pseudonym Panas Myrnyi. He has forever entered the treasury of Ukrainian literature as one of the leading prose writers of the second half of the nineteenth century, the author of realistic and psychological prose. Panas Myrnyi was the first to put Ukrainian literature on a new «rail» of epic prose, revealing the images of the unnoticeable "little man" close to his spirit - Ukrainian nobles and officials, landowners, intellectuals, traders, and peasants.
The Panas Myrnyi Museum is one of the richest in Ukraine in terms of the number of memorial exhibits. About a thousand items, books, documents, and photographs are housed in seven rooms of the writer's house. Manuscripts, first editions of Panas Myrnyi's works, and memories of his contemporaries are kept here.
The area of the estate is one and a half hectares. In the center of the yard there is a wooden house, a gazebo next to it, and a garden with trees and bushes planted by the writer. An alley leads from the veranda of the house through the garden to the pond, which was Panas Myrnyi's favorite place to walk after work.
