Студенти Навчально-наукового медичного інституту Полтавського державного медичного університету та волонтери загону «Almino» разом із полковником медичної служби у відставці, викладачем кафедри хірургічної стоматології та щелепно-лицевої хірургії ПДМУ Валерієм Бондаренком відвідали військовослужбовців, які проходять реабілітацію в одному з медичних закладів Полтави.
Цією зустріччю студенти-медики, серед яких і майбутні реабілітологи, прагнули зігріти серця Захисників напередодні Різдва, щиро подякувати їм за можливість навчатися та будувати плани на майбутнє.
Жива українська пісня під гітару у виконанні студентів, смачні подарунки від ПДМУ та тепле спілкування створили атмосферу затишку й підтримки. Гості говорили з воїнами на різні теми – про турнікети, професії Захисників до війни, студентські роки, мрії й загальноукраїнські прагнення.
«Ви надихаєте нас, об’єднуєте і вчите цінувати найважливіше, бути сильними», – зворушливо поділилася своїми емоціями голова Студентської ради Навчально-наукового медичного інституту Вероніка Величко.
На згадку про спілкування Захисники залишили студентам письмові побажання й заповіли гарно вчитися. А ще вони обіймалися, обмінювалися телефонами, багато жартували й робили спільні фото на пам’ять.
Ця подія наповнила серця всіх її учасників світлом, теплом і вірою в краще. Військові нагадали студентам, що навіть у найважчі часи мрії залишаються рушійною силою, яка здатна змінювати життя. А студенти ще раз переконалися у важливості своєї майбутньої професії – допомагати тим, хто ціною здоров’я й життя захищає країну.
To heroes – with love: Christmas greetings to military personnel from PSMU
Students of the Medical Education and Research Institute of Poltava State Medical University (PSMU) and volunteers from the "Almino" unit, together with retired Medical Service Colonel and lecturer at the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at PSMU, Valerii Bondarenko, visited servicemen undergoing rehabilitation in one of Poltava’s medical facilities.
Through this meeting, the medical students, including future rehabilitation specialists, aimed to warm the hearts of the Defenders on the eve of Christmas, sincerely thanking them for the opportunity to study and plan for the future.
The students’ heartfelt performance of Ukrainian songs accompanied by guitar, delicious gifts from PSMU, and warm conversations created an atmosphere of comfort and support. The guests talked with the servicemen on various topics – from tourniquets and the Defenders’ pre-war professions to student years, dreams, and nationwide aspirations.
"You inspire us, unite us, and teach us to value the most important things and to be strong," shared Veronika Velychko, Head of the Student Council of the MERI, with her emotion.
As a memento of their interaction, the Defenders left written wishes for the students and encouraged them to study diligently. They also hugged, exchanged phone numbers, shared jokes, and took group photos to remember the day.
This event filled the hearts of all its participants with light, warmth, and faith in a better future. The servicemen reminded the students that even in the most challenging times, dreams remain a driving force capable of changing lives. Meanwhile, the students reaffirmed the importance of their future profession – to help those who, at the cost of their health and lives, defend the country.
