8 листопада доцентка кафедри іноземних мов з латинською мовою та медичною термінологією Юлія Лисанець провела інформаційно-виховний захід “Remembrance Day in the UK” зі студентами 6 групи II курсу медичного факультету №1.

Remembrance Day (День пам′яті) було засновано британським королем Георгом V у 1919 році. Щорічно 11 листопада об 11 годині всі країни Співдружності вшановують полеглих воїнів двома хвилинами мовчання, які символізують Першу і Другу світові війни.

Під час зустрічі здобувачі освіти дізналися про традиції вшанування загиблих захисників у Великій Британії, переглянули англомовні мультимедійні матеріали, а також світлини з м. Ковентрі, пов’язані з відзначенням цього пам’ятного дня. Наприкінці заходу студенти перевірили свої знання під час тестування на інтерактивній платформі “Slido”.

Information event on the meaning and history behind Remembrance Day in the UK

On November 8, Yuliia Lysanets, Assistant Professor of the Department of Foreign Languages with Latin and Medical Terminology, organized the event "Remembrance Day in the UK" with the second-year students of group 6, Medical Faculty No. 1.

Remembrance Day was established by the British King George V in 1919. Every year on November 11 at 11 a.m., all countries of the Commonwealth honor the fallen soldiers with two minutes of silence, symbolizing the First and Second World Wars.

During the meeting, the students learned about the traditions of commemorating fallen defenders in Great Britain, viewed English-language multimedia materials, as well as photos from the city of Coventry related to the commemoration of this memorable day. At the end of the event, students checked their knowledge during testing on the interactive platform "Slido".
