22 лютого 2024 року в 5-ій аудиторії ПДМУ відбулося засідання зі здобувачами вищої освіти 5-ого курсу, на якому вони могли ознайомитися з вибірковими компонентами, які в подальшому будуть включені до програми їх навчання на 6-ому курсі.
Однією із таких була розроблена на кафедрі хірургії № 2 ПДМУ вибіркова компонента під назвою «Хірургія ожиріння та метаболічного синдрому». Представляв зміст і основні положення завідувач кафедри хірургії № 2, д. мед. н., професор Володимир Шейко. Висвітлено актуальність даної проблематики. Ключовою тезою актуальності було те, що за прогнозами Всесвітньої організації охорони здоров’я у 2035 році ледь не кожен другий житель планети буде з ожирінням, а це на сьогоднішній день близько 3,5-4 мільярда людей! Розглянули основні підходи до комплексного лікування стрімко прогресуючої патології. Враховуючи регламент зборів, доповідь була більш загального змісту та короткою за часовим терміном.
Зважаючи на глобальну актуальність даної проблеми, кафедра хірургії № 2 запрошує здобувачів вищої освіти обрати дану вибіркову компоненту для більш детального та поглибленого вивчення можливостей лікування цієї патології уже на практичних заняттях, що будуть проходити у них на 6-ому курсі.
The Department of Surgery No.2 presented to the students its elective discipline
On February 22, 2024, a meeting was held in the Lecture Room 5 of PSMU with the 5-year students, where they could get acquainted with the elective components that will be included in their 6th year study program.
One of them was an elective component developed at the Department of Surgery No.2 of PSMU called "Surgery of Obesity and Metabolic Syndrome". The content and main provisions were presented by the Head of the Department of Surgery No. 2, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor Volodymyr Sheiko. The relevance of this issue was highlighted. The key thesis of relevance was that according to the World Health Organization, in 2035 almost every second individual of the planet will be obese, and this is about 3.5-4 billion people today! We considered the main approaches to the comprehensive treatment of a rapidly progressing pathology. Given the meeting's regulations, the report was more general and shorter in time.
Taking into account the global relevance of this problem, the Department of Surgery No. 2 invites higher education students to choose this elective component for a more detailed and in-depth study of the possibilities of treating this pathology already in the practical classes that will be held in their 6th year of study.
