25 березня, у День європейських авторів, бібліотека ПДМУ долучилася до літературного простору Європи й стала одним із учасників програми «Креативна Європа», що започаткована Європейською комісією з метою підсилення інтересу до читання та відкриття всього багатства європейської літератури. Полтавський державний медичний університет позначено на інтерактивній мапі учасників програми «Креативна Європа».
Під час просвітницького заходу, що тривав цього дня у центральній читальній залі університетської книгозбірні, слухачам було запропоновано короткий екскурс в історію розвитку європейської літератури, а учасники «Чайно-книжкового» клубу студентського парламенту ПДМУ – Антон Бордюжа, Анна Дудка, Артур Тищенко, Денис Старушенко та голова клубу Марина Васильєва – презентували авдиторії своїх улюблених європейських авторів й ділилися враженнями від прочитаних книг: цитували, декламували (навіть іспанською!), жваво обговорювали цікаві епізоди, усіляко заохочували до прочитання.
Вітали учасників зі святом проректор з науково-педагогічної та виховної роботи ПДМУ Валерій Похилько та директорка бібліотеки Ольга Боровик. Вони наголосили на підвищеному інтересі наших студентів до літератури європейських авторів, як вияв того, що українці дедалі більше усвідомлюють свою європейську ідентичність і подарували бібліотеці книги.
Захід відбувся за участі: кафедри українознавства та гуманітарної підготовки - завідувачки кафедри Тетяни Лещенко, доцентки Олени Шевченко, старшої викладачки Вікторії Юфименко, здобувачів вищої освіти 1-ого курсу медичного факультету № 1 – 7-а група та -ого1 курсу Навчально-наукового медичного інституту – 12-а група ерготерапевти, кафедри ендокринології з дитячими інфекційними хворобами (доцентки Катерини Пікуль), здобувачів вищої освіти 5-ого курсу медичного факультету № 2 – 3Н група та 6-ого курсу медичного факультету № 1 – 6-а група.
Захід супроводжувала книжкова виставка «Читаємо європейське».

"Creative Europe": PSMU is marked on the interactive map of program participants
Why is the University marked on the interactive map of the "Creative Europe" program? How did the university community achieve such recognition? What do students and teachers read from the vast collection of European authors' works? Perhaps they will also interest you?
On March 25, on European Authors' Day, the PSMU library joined the literary space of Europe and became one of the participants in the "Creative Europe" program, initiated by the European Commission to enhance interest in reading and discover the richness of European literature. Poltava State Medical University is marked on the interactive map of participants in the "Creative Europe" program.
During the educational event held that day in the central reading room of the university library, listeners were offered a brief journey into the history of European literature development, and members of the "Tea-Book" club of the student parliament of PSMU – Anton Bordiuzha, Anna Dudka, Artur Tyshchenko, Denys Starushenko, and club leader Maryna Vasylieva – presented their favorite European authors to the audience and shared impressions from the books they read: quoted, recited (even in Spanish!), lively discussed interesting episodes, and encouraged reading.
Participants were greeted with the holiday by Valeriy Pokhylko, the Vice-Rector for Academic Affaits and Extracurricular Activities of PSMU, and Olha Borovyk, the library director. They emphasized the increased interest of our students in the literature of European authors, as evidenced by the fact that Ukrainians are increasingly realizing their European identity and presented books to the library.
The event was attended by: the Department of Ukrainian Studies and Humanities - Head of the Department Tetiana Leshchenko, Associate Professor Olena Shevchenko, Senior Lecturer Viktoriia Yufymenko, first-year students of Medical Faculty No. 1, group 7, and the first-year students of the Medical Education and Research Institute – group 12 of ergotherapists, the Department of Endocrinology with Pediatric Infectious Diseases (Associate Professor Kateryna Pikul), fifth-year students of Medical Faculty No. 2 – group 3N and sixth-year students of Medical Faculty No. 1 – group 6.
The event was accompanied by the book exhibition "Reading European."
