4 квітня 2024 року співробітники кафедри пропедевтики внутрішньої медицини Євген Петров та Тетяна Іваницька провели бесіду зі здобувачами вищої освіти III курсу 6 групи медичного факультету № 1 та 13 групи медичного факультету № 2, присвячену видатному вітчизняному вченому, лікарю-терапевту, академіку Миколі Дмитровичу Стражеску, Спектр його наукових інтересів був широким. Але світове визнання Микола Дмитрович головним чином здобув завдяки дослідженню патологічних станів серцево-судинної системи. Здобувачам вищої освіти, які наразі вивчають вищезгадану тематику, було цікаво дізнатися, що М. Д. Стражеско разом з В. П. Образцовим одними з перших діагностували у пацієнтів коронарний тромбоз до оперативного втручання й подали чіткий опис перебігу хвороби. Завдяки цій праці було закладено основи до вчення про інфаркт міокарда.
Можна перерахувати багато здобутків цього видатного науковця: акустичний феномен, що традиційно зветься «гарматним тоном Стражеска», класифікація серцево-судинної недостатності і багато-багато іншого. Микола Дмитрович заснував першу в Україні клінічну школу патофізіологічного напрямку.
Він дотримувався високих етичних принципів ставлення до пацієнтів, був людиною обізнаною не тільки в межах професії – а й у літературі, мистецтві, театрі, тощо. Усе життя М. Д. Стражеско – це яскравий приклад служіння людському здоров’ю. Як стверджував сам академік, «немає більшого щастя, ніж служити одночасно розуму і добру».
Студенти вкотре (раніше вже також згадували ро постать В. П. Образцова) із задоволенням заглибились у історії вітчизняної медицини з відчуттям гордості за її яскравих особистостей.
Mykola Strazhesko: "There is no greater happiness than to serve both reason and good"
On April 4, 2024, the faculty members of the Department of Propedeutics of Internal Medicine Yevhen Petrov and Tetiana Ivanytska met with the third-year students of the 6th group of the Faculty of Medicine No. 1 and the 13th group of the Faculty of Medicine No. 2 to talk about outstanding national scientist, physician, academician Mykola Dmytrovych Strazhesko, whose range of scientific interests was wide. However, Mykola Dmytrovych gained worldwide recognition mainly due to his research on pathological conditions of the cardiovascular system. It was interesting to learn that M. D. Strazhesko, together with V. P. Obraztsov, were among the first to diagnose coronary thrombosis in patients before surgery and provided a clear description of the course of the disease. Thanks to this work, the foundations for the doctrine of myocardial infarction were laid.
We can list many achievements of this outstanding scientist: the acoustic phenomenon traditionally called "Strazhesko's cannonball," the classification of cardiovascular failure, and much, much more. Mykola Dmytrovych founded the first clinical school of pathophysiology in Ukraine.
He adhered to high ethical principles of treatment of patients, was a person knowledgeable not only within the profession but also in literature, art, theater, etc. M. D. Strazhesko's entire life is a vivid example of service to human health. According to the academician himself, "there is no greater happiness than to serve both reason and good."
The students once again (they had already mentioned the figure of V. P. Obraztsov) delved into the history of national medicine with a sense of pride in its outstanding personalities.
