25-26 квітня 2024 року завідувач кафедри іноземних мов з латинською мовою та медичною термінологією Олена Бєляєва і доцент Юлія Лисанець взяли участь у роботі 2-ї Міжнародної міждисциплінарної конференції “Main Challenges and Issues of University Education in War Conditions: Ukraine (2022 – 2024)”, яка проходила на базі Університету Манітоби (Вінніпег, Канада).
Науковиці ПДМУ виступили з онлайн -доповіддю “Teaching Advanced English during Wartime: Previous Experience and Future Directions”, в якій було представлено досвід викладання дисципліни “Англійська мова (прогресивний рівень)” здобувачам наукового ступеня доктора філософії під час російського вторгнення.
Було наголошено на ефективності використання освітньої навчальної платформи ПДМУ, застосування автентичних аудіовізуальних матеріалів (TED Talks, Voice of America, British Council, Cambridge English Language Assessment та ін.), інтерактивних вікторин та опитувань (Slido, Padlet, Kahoot та ін.), а також залучення здобувачів освіти до масових відкритих онлайн курсів (FutureLearn, Open University, Coursera) та гостьових онлайн- лекцій іноземних партнерів.
International cooperation: PSMU scholar made an online presentation at the conference in Canada
On April 25-26, 2024, Head of the Department of Foreign Languages with Latin and Medical Terminology Olena Belyaeva and Associate Professor Yuliia Lysanets took part in the 2nd International Interdisciplinary Conference "Main Challenges and Issues of University Education in War Conditions: Ukraine (2022 - 2024)", which was held at the University of Manitoba (Winnipeg, Canada).
PSMU scholars made an online report "Teaching Advanced English during Wartime: Previous Experience and Future Directions", which presented the experience of teaching English (Advanced Level) to PhD students during the russian invasion.
It was emphasized the effectiveness of using the educational learning platform of PSMU, the use of authentic audiovisual materials (TED Talks, Voice of America, British Council, Cambridge English Language Assessment, etc.), interactive quizzes and surveys (Slido, Padlet, Kahoot, etc.), as well as the involvement of students in massive open online courses (FutureLearn, Open University, Coursera) and guest online lectures by foreign partners.
