25 листопада весь світ відзначає Міжнародний день боротьби за ліквідацію насильства щодо жінок і дівчат.
Дата 25 листопада вибрана невипадково. Саме цього дня, восени 1960-го року, під час політичних протестів у Домініканській Республіці, за наказом домініканського диктатора Рафаеля Трухільо жорстоко вбиті три сестри Мірабал, які були активними учасниками супротиву. Показова кривава страта сестер збереглася в народній пам’яті надовго та мала світовий резонанс. У 1981 році активістки жіночих рухів вирішили вибрати дату їхньої загибелі як день протесту проти насильства щодо жінок. А із 1999 року цей день став міжнародною знаковою датою.
До слова, проблема, на жаль, є актуальною і у наш час, тому студенти 2-ого курсу 15-ої групи медичного факультету № 1 підготували та провели змістовний цікавий захід на кафедрі анатомії людини. Захід відвідали здобувачі вищої освіти 1-ого курсу 30-ої групи медичного факультету № 2 та 1-ого курсу групи № 15 медичного факультету № 1. Слухачам наголосили на серйозності проблеми насильства.
International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women: Discussing, Summarizing, Analyzing
On November 25, the entire world observes the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women and Girls.
The choice of November 25 is not arbitrary. It was on this day in the fall of 1960, during political protests in the Dominican Republic, that three Mirabal sisters, active participants in the resistance, were brutally murdered by the order of Dominican dictator Rafael Trujillo. The symbolic and brutal execution of the sisters remained in the collective memory for a long time and had a global impact. In 1981, women's movement activists decided to designate the date of their death as a day of protest against violence against women. Since 1999, this day has become an internationally recognized symbol.
Incidentally, the issue unfortunately remains relevant in our time. Therefore, second-year students of Group 15 of the Faculty of Medicine No. 1 prepared and conducted a meaningful and interesting event at the Department of Human Anatomy. The event was attended by the first-year-student of Groups 30 and 15 of the Faculty of Medicine No. 2 and Faculty of Medicine No. 1, respectively. Participants emphasized the seriousness of the issue of violence.
