Здобувачі вищої освіти І курсу медичного факультету ті ІІІ курсу стоматологічного факультету долучилися до відзначення Міжнародного дня жінок і дівчат у науці, відвідавши народний музей історії університету. Викладачі кафедри філософії та суспільних наук Таміла Дашевська, Тетяна Харченко, Наталія Зінченко запропонували студентам матеріали щодо ролі жінок в медичній галузі науки, зокрема, в історії становлення й розвитку нашого університету. Не могли не згадати і про єдину жінку-ректорку – професора Лісову Ніну Денисівну, організаціїю навчально-наукового процесу в перші роки існування Полтавського медичного стоматологічного інституту.

За даними ЮНЕСКО, жінки, як і раніше, у світовому науковому середовищі представлені значно менше, ніж чоловіки, становлячи всього третину. Втім, в Україні ці показники вищі, зокрема, в медичній галузі науки – понад 60%. Можливо й поміж сьогоднішніх здобувачів вищої освіти є такі, хто виявить бажання займатися дослідницькою діяльністю і примножить славу вітчизняної науки.

International Day of Women and Girls in Science: The Role of Women in the Field of Medicine 

Students of the first year of the Medical Faculty and the third year of the Dental Faculty joined the celebration of International Day of Women and Girls in Science by visiting the university's history museum. Professors from the Department of Philosophy and Social Sciences, Tamila Dashevska, Tetiana Kharchenko, and Nataliia Zinchenko, provided students with materials on the role of women in the medical science, particularly in the history of the formation and development of our university. They couldn't help but mention the only female rector - Professor Nina Denysivna Lisova, who organized the educational and scientific process in the early years of the existence of the Poltava Medical Stomatological Institute.

According to UNESCO, women are still significantly underrepresented in the global scientific community, accounting for only one-third. However, in Ukraine, these figures are higher, especially in the medical science - over 60%. Perhaps among today's students, there are those who will show a desire to engage in research activities and enhance the reputation of Ukrainian science.
