І. М. Скрипник бере активну участь в атестації наукових кадрів України вищої кваліфікації. Він - заступник голови експертної ради з питань проведення експертизи дисертацій МОН України з клінічної медицини (внутрішні хвороби), член спеціалізованої вченої ради із захисту докторських дисертацій при Полтавському державному медичному університеті.
Професор Ігор Скрипник визнаний переможцем відкритого міжнародного конкурсу «Вчений року 2020» у категорії «Медицина і охорона здоров‘я/ Клінічна медицина» за видатні досягнення в області гастроентерології, гепатології та внутрішньої медицини.
Наукові та клінічні аспекти його діяльності мають визнання у світовій гастроентерології, гепатології та гематології. Наукові дослідження присвячені вивченню патогенезу, розробці сучасних методів діагностики, лікування та профілактики гастроентерологічних захворювань. У його наукових дослідженнях розкриті нові патогенетичні механізми ураження органів травлення, серцево-судинної системи при гемобластозах внаслідок застосування цитостатиків та розроблені і впроваджені ефективні методи їх профілактики й лікування.
Під керівництвом Ігоря Скрипника виконані 2 докторські, 11 кандидатських, 13 магістерських робіт. Автор 1085 наукових робіт, з них 23 патентів України на винахід, 8 монографій, 7 підручників, 25 навчальних посібника, серед них «Клінічна гепатологія» (2007 р.), «Гастроентерологія» (2017), національні підручники «Внутрішня медицина» англійською мовою (2018) та «Внутрішні хвороби» (2019), він - науковий редактор перекладу з англійської керівництва «Медицина за Девідсоном» (2021).
Учасник і доповідач численних гастроентерологічних шкіл та тижнів, конгресів і симпозіумів в Україні і за кордоном. Член комітету національних товариств Європейської гастроентерологічної асоціації, Європейської Асоціації з вивчення печінки, Європейської Асоціації з нейрогастроентерології та моторики, Американської гастроентерологічної Асоціації, Європейського клубу панкреатологів, Міжнародної асоціації панкреатологів, Європейської гематологічної Асоціації.
Член редколегії наукових видань «World Journal of Hepatology», «Сучасна гастроентерологія», «Гастроентерологія» та ін.
Професор Скрипник І. М. – досвідчений, висококваліфікований клініцист. Лікар вищої кваліфікаційної категорії з терапії, гастроентерології та гематології. Значну увагу він приділяє впровадженню наукових розробок у клінічну практику та профілактичну роботу.
За впровадження нових методів діагностики та лікування, високу професійну майстерність Ігор Скрипник нагороджений Почесними грамотами Міністерства охорони здоров'я України (1999), Полтавської обласної державної адміністрації (2002 р., 2008 р., 2009 р., 2011 р.), Грамотами Полтавської обласної ради (2012, 2023); Почесною грамотою Полтавської обласної ради (2021);за вагомий внесок у здійснення комплексної програми обстеження і оздоровлення сільського населення — Почесною грамотою Міністерства аграрної політики України (2002 р.), Почесною грамотою командувача внутрішніх військ МВС України (2010 р.). Стипендіат Кабінету Міністрів України для молодих вчених (1996-1998 рр., 2000-2002 рр.). Має високе почесне звання «Заслужений діяч науки і техніки України» (2016 р.) Нагороджений орденом «За заслуги» III ступеня (2020) за вагомий особистий внесок у розвиток вітчизняної науки, зміцнення науково-технічного потенціалу України, багаторічну сумлінну працю та професіоналізм.
Поєднуючи в собі фундаментальні знання та педагогічну майстерність, досвідчений науковець, педагог, клініцист і наставник молоді, професор Ігор Скрипник сьогодні з успіхом передає свої знання та досвід учням.
Many Years: On the Threshold of a Jubilee
The golden autumn seems to have delayed its arrival, lingering in the still sunny summer days. During this time, a remarkable anniversary was celebrated by Professor Ihor Mykolaiovych Skrypnyk, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs and Postgraduate Education, Professor of the Department of Internal Medicine No. 1, and guarantor of the EPP "Medicine" at Poltava State Medical University. A Doctor of Medical Sciences, a Professor, and an Honored Scientist and Technician of Ukraine, he has made significant contributions to the field.
“May your health be strong, your present joyful, your days peaceful, your scientific work fruitful in the field of national medicine and medical education, and may the successes in your work bring joy for the prosperity of Independent Ukraine!” – this was the heartfelt greeting to the esteemed Jubilarian from the entire university community, led by the Rector of PSMU, Professor Viacheslav Zhdan.

Ihor Mykolaiovych Skrypnyk, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs and Postgraduate Education, Professor of the Department of Internal Medicine No. 1, guarantor of the EPP "Medicine" at Poltava State Medical University, is an Honored Scientist and Technician of Ukraine, Doctor of Medical Sciences, and Professor. He is a recipient of the Order of Merit, 3rd degree, and serves as the President of the "Ukrainian Gastroenterological Association."
Professor Skrypnyk actively participates in the certification of highly qualified scientific personnel in Ukraine. He is the Deputy Chair of the Expert Council on Dissertation Review in Clinical Medicine (Internal Diseases) at the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine and a member of the specialized academic council for defending doctoral dissertations at PSMU.
In 2020, Professor Skrypnyk won the international open competition "Scientist of the Year" in the category "Medicine and Healthcare/Clinical Medicine" for outstanding achievements in gastroenterology, hepatology, and internal medicine. His scientific and clinical work is recognized worldwide in these fields. His research focuses on the pathogenesis and development of modern diagnostic, treatment, and prevention methods for gastrointestinal diseases. His studies have uncovered new pathogenetic mechanisms of digestive organ and cardiovascular system damage in hemoblastosis caused by cytostatic therapy, leading to the development and implementation of effective prevention and treatment methods.
Under Professor Skrypnyk’s supervision, 2 doctoral, 11 candidate, and 13 master's theses have been completed. He is the author of 1,085 scientific works, including 23 Ukrainian patents for inventions, 8 monographs, 7 textbooks, and 25 teaching manuals. Notable works include "Clinical Hepatology" (2007), "Gastroenterology" (2017), the national textbooks "Internal Medicine" in English (2018), and "Internal Diseases" (2019). He was also the scientific editor of the Ukrainian translation of "Davidson's Medicine" (2021).
He is a frequent participant and speaker at numerous gastroenterological schools, congresses, and symposiums in Ukraine and abroad. Professor Skrypnyk is a member of the National Societies Committee of the European Gastroenterological Association, the European Association for the Study of the Liver, the European Association for Neurogastroenterology and Motility, the American Gastroenterological Association, the European Pancreatic Club, the International Association of Pancreatology, and the European Hematological Association.
He is also on the editorial boards of scientific journals such as World Journal of Hepatology, Modern Gastroenterology, Gastroenterology, and others.
Professor Skrypnyk is a highly experienced and qualified clinician, holding the highest qualification category in therapy, gastroenterology, and hematology. He places great emphasis on implementing scientific advancements into clinical practice and preventive work.
For his contributions to medical diagnostics and treatment, as well as his professional expertise, Ihor Skrypnyk has been awarded numerous honors, including certificates of recognition from the Ministry of Health of Ukraine (1999), the Poltava Regional State Administration (2002, 2008, 2009, 2011), and the Poltava Regional Council (2012, 2023). He has also received an Honorary Certificate from the Poltava Regional Council (2021), recognition from the Ministry of Agrarian Policy of Ukraine (2002), and the Commander of the Internal Troops of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine (2010). He was a laureate of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine Fellowship for Young Scientists (1996-1998, 2000-2002). In 2016, he received the prestigious title of "Honored Scientist and Technician of Ukraine," and in 2020, he was awarded the Order of Merit, 3rd degree, for his significant personal contributions to the development of Ukrainian science, strengthening the scientific and technical potential of the country, many years of diligent work, and professionalism.
Combining fundamental knowledge with pedagogical skill, Professor Ihor Skrypnyk is a highly experienced scientist, educator, clinician, and mentor to the next generation, successfully passing on his knowledge and experience to his students.
