Тарас Шевченко актуальний завжди, а в час російсько-української війни за незалежність – особливо. У цьому переконалися кураторки кафедри українознавства та гуманітарної підготовки Полтавського державного медичного університету разом зі студентами-першокурсниками на музичному вечорі-хронографі «Шевченкове слово» з нагоди 210-ї річниці від дня народження національного Пророка, який надзвичайно багато зробив для формування української ідентичності. Рефреном на ньому лунало те, що нині творчість Пророка Нації мобілізує на боротьбу з російськими окупантами. «Що було б, якби Кобзар повернувся на цю землю в наш час? Писав би великі вірші, які вправили б нам мізки, і витрусили звідти сміття? — Так! Знайшов би слова, які допомогли би багатьом упоратися із сумнівами? — Так! Він був би серед нас. Воював», — стверджували організатори заходу.

Перед початком заходу в холі Центру культури та дозвілля Полтавської міської ради кураторки зі студентами переглянули виставку картин Назара Божинського — художника, архітектора, кобзаря, лірника, торбаніста, громадського діяча, доцента кафедри дизайну Інституту культури і мистецтв Львівського національного університету імені Тараса Шевченка.

Тарас Шевченко не був політиком, але на його ідеях міцно сформувалися свідомість і світогляд нації. Він не був полководцем, але його слово підняло до збройної боротьби тисячі українців, які по-шевченківськи дивляться на нинішній стан України й українського народу, розуміють і беруть відповідальність за все, що відбувається в нашій державі.

Taras Shevchenko is always relevant, especially during the time of the russian-Ukrainian war for independence. This was evident to the curators of the Department of Ukrainian Studies and Humanities at the Poltava State Medical University, along with first-year students, during the musical night-chronograph event "Shevchenko's Word" on the occasion of the 210th anniversary of the birth of the national Prophet, who did so much to shape Ukrainian identity. The refrain echoed the idea that today the work of the Prophet of the Nation mobilizes people to fight against russian occupiers. "What would it be like if the Kobzar returned to this land in our time? Would he write great poems that would exercise our minds and sweep away the garbage from there? – Yes! Would he find words that would help many deal with doubts? – Yes! He would be among us. He would fight," declared the organizers of the event.

Before the event began, in the lobby of the Culture and Leisure Center of the Poltava City Council, the curators with the students viewed an exhibition of paintings by Nazar Bozhinsky, an artist, architect, kobzar, lyricist, bandurist, public figure, and Associate Professor at the Design Department of the Institute of Culture and Arts of the Taras Shevchenko National University of Lviv.

Taras Shevchenko was not a politician, but his ideas strongly influenced the consciousness and worldview of the nation. He was not a military leader, but his words inspired thousands of Ukrainians to take up arms, who, like Shevchenko, look at the current state of Ukraine and the Ukrainian people, understand, and take responsibility for everything happening in our country.
