На кафедрі українознавства та гуманітарної підготовки ПДМУ цього тижня відбуваються заходи до роковин трагічної дати Голодомору. 22 листопада студенти 1-ого курсу стоматологічного факультету разом зі старшою викладачкою Вікторією Юфименко, продовжуючи тісне багаторічне співробітництво кафедри з Полтавською обласною універсальною науковою бібліотекою імені І. Котляревського, завітали до відділу краєзнавства, де ознайомилися з виставкою "Гори, священної пам'яті свіча: до 90-х роковин Голодомору 1932/1933 рр. на Полтавщині". Провідна бібліотекарка відділу Лариса Карпенко розповіла майбутнім лікарям-стоматологам про трагічні часи українських голодоморів від 20-х до 40-х років ХХ століття. Також обговорили співпрацю української та світової спільноти над визнанням Голодомору геноцидом усе більшою кількістю країн. 

Holy Memory Candle Burning: In Memory of the Victims of the Holodomor!

This week, events are taking place at the Department of Ukrainian Studies and Humanities at PSMU to commemorate the anniversary of the tragic date of the Holodomor. On November 22, first-year students of the Faculty of Dentistry, along with senior lecturer Viktoriia Yufymenko, continued their close and longstanding cooperation with I. Kotliarevsky Poltava Regional Universal Scientific Library. They visited the local history department to see the exhibition " Holy Memory Candle Burning: On the 90th Anniversary of the Holodomor of 1932/1933 in Poltava Region." Larysa Karpenko, the leading librarian of the department, shared the tragic times of Ukrainian famines from the 1920s to the 1940s with the future dentists. They also discussed the cooperation of the Ukrainian and global communities in the increasing recognition of the Holodomor as a genocide by an expanding number of countries.
