Щороку, 10 листопада, відзначається Всесвітній день науки в ім'я миру та сталого розвитку. Цей день підкреслює визначальну роль науки в суспільстві та наголошує на важливості й актуальності науки в нашому щоденному житті.
«Застосування фундаментальних наук дуже важливе для прогресу в медицині, промисловості, навколишньому середовищі, комунікації та культурі», – підтвердила Генеральна Асамблея ООН у грудні 2021 року, коли було ухвалено пропозицію про Міжнародний рік фундаментальних наук для сталого розвитку.
КП «2-а МКЛ ПМР» є клінічною базою для нещодавно реорганізованої кафедри хірургії №1 ПДМУ, яка об’єднала викладачів кафедри хірургії №1 та кафедри малоінвазивної хірургії №4 ПДМУ. Тут працюють науково- педагогічні працівники, які здійснюють лікувально-діагностичну, наукову та виховну роботу. Водночас, саме наукова робота займає провідне місце у професійній діяльності співробітників кафедри.
«Ми живемо в еру доказової медицини, завдяки потужним дослідженням створюються нові протоколи лікування різних патологій, – говорить завідувач кафедри Микола Кравців, – і це стосується не лише хірургії, а і загалом усіх напрямів медицини. Надбаннями кафедри є численні статті співробітників у провідних фахових медичних виданнях не тільки України, а і закордонних. Одним із останніх доробків став вихід у світ наукового посібника «Базові лапароскопічні навички в хірургії».
На базі кафедри хірургії №1 діє наукове товариство, де студенти, інтерни роблять перші кроки в науку. Також викладачі постійно беруть участь в авторитетних наукових зібраннях.
«Направлення нашої наукової роботи – хірургічне. Я продовжую хірургічні дослідження в гінекології та в напрямку патологій гепатобіліарної системи. Зараз готується серйозна доповідь з цього питання, де я буду доповідати про результати виконаної роботи. Йтиметься про лікування надскладних захворювань. Методики відпрацьовуються, а головне, що результати наукових пошуків постійно впроваджуються на практиці і покращують лікувальний процес» – підсумував директор КП «2-а МКЛ ПМР», професор Максим Дудченко.

Every year, on November 10, World Science Day for Peace and Development is celebrated. This day emphasizes the pivotal role of science in society and underscores the importance and relevance of science in our daily lives
"The use of fundamental sciences is crucial for progress in medicine, industry, the environment, communication and culture," confirmed the United Nations General Assembly in December 2021 when the proposal for the International Year of Fundamental Sciences for Sustainable Development was adopted.
The Municipal Enterprise “2nd City Clinical Hospital of Poltava City Council” serves as the clinical base for the recently reorganized Department of Surgery No. 1 at PSMU, conjoining the faculty staff of the Department of Surgery No. 1 and Department of Minimally Invasive Surgery No. 4. The academic staff of the Department are engaging in therapeutic, diagnostic, research and educational activities. Research work, in particular, holds a leading place in the professional activities of the Department.
"We live in the era of evidence-based medicine, where powerful research leads to the creation of the novel treatment protocols for various pathologies," says the Head of the Department, Mykola Kravtsiv. "This applies not only to surgery but also to all fields of medicine. The achievements of the Department involve numerous scientific articles by staff members in leading medical publications, not only in Ukraine but also abroad. One of the recent accomplishments is the publication of the scientific manual “Basic Laparoscopic Skills in Surgery.”
The Department of Surgery No. 1 houses a scientific group where students and interns take their first steps in research. Additionally, faculty members regularly participate in prestigious scientific conferences.
“The focus of our research is surgical. I continue surgical research in gynecology and in the field of hepatobiliary system pathologies. A significant report on this matter is currently being prepared, where I will present the results of the work done. It will cover the treatment of complicated diseases. The methods are being refined, and most importantly, the results of scientific discoveries are consistently implemented in practice, improving the treatment process," concluded Professor Maxym Dudchenko, Director of the Municipal Enterprise “2nd City Clinical Hospital of Poltava City Council”.
