7-8 грудня 2023 року на базі Полтавського державного медичного університету відбулась науково-практична конференція з міжнародною участю «Від новітніх наукових концепцій в гастроентерології та гепатології до конкретного пацієнта», присвячена 80-річчю з дня народження видатного гастроентеролога України д. мед. н., професорки Ірини Дегтярьової. Під її керівництвом виконано 5 докторських та 17 кандидатських дисертацій. Вона є автором 550 наукових робіт , серед яких найбільш вагомі “Ультрастуктура слизової шлунка при виразковій хворобі” у співавт. з О. А. Хомутовським (1978), “Виразкова хвороба” у співавт. з В. Ю. Кушніром (1983), “Панкреатит” (1992), “Виразкова хвороба” у співавт. з Н.В. Харченко (1995), “Дуфалак: клінічне застосування та перспективи” спільно з С.В. Скопиченко (2003), 3-х підручників “Захворювання органів травлення”, 2 видання (1999, 2000), “Внутрішні хвороби” (2003) та керівництва для лікарів “Клінічна гастроентерологія” (2004).
Організатори конференції – ГО «Українська гастроентерологічна асоціація» і Полтавський державний медичний університет.
Робота конференції відбувалась у змішаному форматі (особиста участь і онлайн трансляція).
У відкритті конференції брали участь перший проректор з науково-педагогічної роботи професор Валентин Дворник і проректор з наукової роботи професор Ігор Кайдашев. З вітальними словами до учасників конференції звернулись директор ДУ «Інститут гастроентерології НАМН України» чл.-кор. НАМН України, професор Ю. Степанов, директор ДУ «Національний інститут терапії імені акад. Л.Т. Малої НАМН України» чл.-кор. НАМН України, професор Г. Фадєєнко і зав. кафедри гастроентерології, дієтології та ендоскопії НУОЗ України імені П. Л. Шупика чл.-кор. НАМН України, професор Н. Харченко, які також виступили із науковими доповідями. Учасники конференції, переглянувши відеофільм «Назавжди у моєму серці», яку підготував учень професора І.І. Дегтярьової президент Української гастроентерологічної асоціації професор І. Скрипник, ознайомились з життєвим і творчим шляхом, пригадали манеру ораторської майстерності вченої.
Впродовж двох днів конференції заслухано 52 доповіді, які були представлені 35 провідними фахівцями у галузі гастроентерології та гепатології з 8 вищих навчальних медичних закладів та 7 наукових установ України. Сучасні підходи до діагностики та лікування стеатотичної хвороби печінки представив провідний вчений у галузі світової гепатології Мазен Нуреддин (США).
Активными учасниками конференції стали науковці університету: професори Іван Катеренчук, Тетяна Крючко, Ігор Скрипник, Тетяна Петрушанко, д. мед. н. Ганна Маслова, доцентка Марина Бабаніна, які представили усні доповіді.
Слід відзначити жваву дискусію по завершенню кожного з 4-х пленарних засідань. По завершенню роботи конференції прийнята резолюція.

The scientific-practical conference with international participation "From Cutting-Edge Scientific Concepts in Gastroenterology and Hepatology to the Individual Patient" took place on December 7-8, 2023 at Poltava State Medical University. The conference was dedicated to the 80th birthday of the prominent Ukrainian gastroenterologist, Professor Iryna Degtyarova, DMSc. Under her guidance, 5 postdoctoral and 17 doctoral dissertations were completed. She authored 550 scientific works, including significant ones such as "Ultrastructure of the Gastric Mucosa in Peptic Ulcer Disease" in collaboration with O. A. Khomutovskyi (1978), "Peptic Ulcer Disease" with V. Yu. Kushnir (1983), "Pancreatitis" (1992), "Peptic Ulcer Disease" with N. V. Kharchenko (1995), "Dufalac: Clinical Application and Prospects" jointly with S. V. Skopichenko (2003), and three textbooks: "Diseases of the Digestive Organs," two editions (1999, 2000), "Internal Medicine" (2003) and a guide for physicians "Clinical Gastroenterology" (2004).
The conference was organized by the NGO "Ukrainian Gastroenterological Association" and Poltava State Medical University. The conference proceedings took place in a hybrid format, allowing for both in-person attendance and online streaming.
The opening of the conference was attended by the First Vice-Rector for Research and Education, Professor Valentyn Dvornyk, and the Vice-Rector for Research, Professor Igor Kaidashev. Welcoming words to the conference participants were delivered by the Director of the State Institution "Institute of Gastroenterology of the National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine," Corresponding Member of the National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine, Professor Yu. Stepanov, the Director of the State Institution "National Institute of Therapy named after Acad. L. T. Malaya of the National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine," Corresponding Member of the National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine, Professor G. Fadeienko, and the Head of the Department of Gastroenterology, Dietetics and Endoscopy of the Shupyk National Healthcare University, Corresponding Member of the National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine, Professor N. Kharchenko, who also made scientific presentations. Conference participants, after watching the video "Forever in My Heart," prepared by the student of Professor I.I. Degtyaryova, President of the Ukrainian Gastroenterological Association Professor I. Skrypnyk, were introduced to the life and creative path, recalling the oratorical skill of the scientist.
During two days, 52 presentations were listened, presented by 35 leading experts in the field of gastroenterology and hepatology from 8 higher medical educational institutions and 7 research institutions in Ukraine. Modern approaches to the diagnosis and treatment of steatotic liver disease were presented by the leading scientist in the field of global hepatology, Mazen Nureddin (USA).
Active participants in the conference included university researchers: Professors Ivan Katerenchuk, Tetiana Kriuchko, Igor Skrypnyk, Tetiana Petrushanko, Dr. Hanna Maslova, DMSc, and Associate Professor Maryna Babanina, who made oral presentations.
It is worth noting the lively discussions at the end of each of the 4 plenary sessions. At the conclusion of the conference, a resolution was adopted.
