6 лютого 2024 року представник Університету Шрі-Джаяварденепура (Шрі-Ланка) контрадмірал Рохіта Абейзінгі прочитав онлайн-лекцію на тему "Green Orientation of Sri Lanka Navy" для здобувачів освіти та науково-педагогічних працівників ПДМУ.
Захід відвідали 65 учасників, з-поміж яких були здобувачі наукового ступеня доктора філософії (перший рік навчання), здобувачі освіти, які навчаються на ОПП "Медицина" і "Стоматологія", науково-педагогічні працівники кафедри іноземних мов з латинською мовою та медичною термінологією, кафедри гігієни та екології, кафедри анатомії з клінічною анатомією та оперативною хірургією.
Доповідач ознайомив присутніх з ключовими проблемами у сфері охорони довкілля та сталого використання природних ресурсів, а також з екологічними ініціативами, які впроваджуються на Шрі-Ланці. Наприкінці лекції присутні долучилися до жвавої дискусії. Було обговорено актуальні питання сталого розвитку, збереження біорізноманіття та відновлення природних екосистем в Україні та світі.
Online lecture "Green Orientation of Sri Lanka Navy"
On February 6, 2024, Rear Admiral Rohitha Abeysinghe, representing the University of Sri Jayewardenepura (Sri Lanka), delivered an online lecture on the topic "Green Orientation of Sri Lanka Navy" for students and academic staff of PSMU.
The event was attended by 65 participants, including first-year PhD students, students majoring in the Medicine and Dentistry programs, academic staff from the Department of Foreign Languages with Latin and Medical Terminology, the Department of Hygiene and Ecology, and the Department of Anatomy with Clinical Anatomy and Operative Surgery.
The speaker introduced the audience with key issues in environmental conservation and sustainable use of natural resources, as well as with environmental initiatives implemented in Sri Lanka. At the end of the lecture, participants engaged in lively discussions, addressing current issues of sustainable development, biodiversity conservation, and restoration of natural ecosystems in Ukraine and globally.
