9 листопада на кафедрі терапевтичної стоматології відбулася чергова зустріч з регіонарним координатором Уповноваженого ВРУ з прав людини в Полтавській області Вірою Яковенко та начальником сектору дотримання прав людини Полтавського РУП ГУНП в Полтавській області Оленою Білокінь.
Під час зустрічі, обговорювали питання дискримінації та стигматизації людини. Зазначали особливі категорії людей, що зазнають дискримінації в буденному житті та на прийомі у лікаря, причини, мотиви, особливості дискримінаційного порушення прав людини, розглядали приклади й активно їх обговорювали.
Також, на зустрічі зосередили увагу на питанні мобінгу на робочому місці, як систематичних тривалих умисних дій або бездіяльності роботодавця, окремих працівників або групи працівників трудового колективу, що спрямовані на приниження честі та гідності працівника, його ділової репутації, у тому числі з метою набуття, зміни або припинення ним трудових прав та обов’язків, що проявляються у формі психологічного та/або економічного тиску, зокрема із застосуванням засобів електронних комунікацій, створення стосовно працівника напруженої, ворожої, образливої атмосфери, у тому числі такої, що змушує його недооцінювати свою професійну придатність. Учасники зустрічі дискутували щодо видів мобінгу й обговорювали методи боротьби з цим явищем в колективі.
Цікаво та корисно провели нетрадиційне засідання кафедри. Викладачі поповнили свої знання з питань прав людини, розібралися у шляхах і методах відстоювання власних прав і кордонів, обговорили методи корекції стратегій поведінки в умовах дискримінації, стигматизації, булінгу та мобінгу.
Human rights above all: the faculty members of Department of Therapeutic Dentistry raise awareness on human rights issues
On November 9, the meeting with Vira Yakovenko, the regional coordinator of the Commissioner for Human Rights in the Poltava region, and Olena Bilokin, Head of the Human Rights Compliance Sector of the Poltava Regional Police Department was held at the Department of Therapeutic Dentistry.
During the meeting, they discussed issues of discrimination and stigmatization of individuals. Special attention was given to specific categories of people who experience discrimination in everyday life and during medical appointments. The reasons, motives and features of discriminatory human rights violations were highlighted, and cases were actively discussed.
Additionally, the meeting focused on the issue of workplace bullying, defined as systematic, prolonged intentional actions or inaction by an employer, individual employees or a group of employees aimed at demeaning the honor and dignity of an employee, their business reputation, including for the purpose of acquiring, changing or terminating the employee's labor rights and duties. This can manifest in the form of psychological and/or economic pressure, including through the use of electronic communication means, creating a tense, hostile and offensive atmosphere for the employee, which may lead them to underestimate their professional suitability. Participants in the meeting discussed types of bullying and methods to combat this phenomenon within the workplace.
The department conducted an engaging and informative non-traditional session. Faculty members enriched their knowledge on human rights issues, explored ways and methods of defending their own rights and boundaries and discussed strategies for behavior correction in the face of discrimination, stigmatization, bullying and mobbing.
