9 лютого 2024 року представники кафедри філософії та суспільних наук узяли участь у презентації збірника «Міжнародне визнання Голодомору 1932–1933 рр. геноцидом українського народу», що відбулася в Полтавському університеті економіки і торгівлі. До збірника увійшли документи щодо визнання Голодомору актом геноциду українського народу та вшанування пам’яті жертв Голодомору, прийняті парламентами і місцевими органами влади держав світу та міжнародними організаціями. Гостем та учасником події був упорядник видання – Надзвичайний та Повноважний Посол, Посол з особливих доручень МЗС України, кандидат філологічних наук Ігор Осташ. Пан Посол розповів про потужний поступ української дипломатії в просуванні протягом останніх десятиліть питання надання правової оцінки Голодомору на міжнародному рівні, а також роботу щодо повернення в Україну культурних цінностей та історичних документів.
Представники наукової спільноти, громадськості Полтавщини, які долучилися до обговорення теми, були одностайними в думці, що сучасна російська геноцидна війна в Україні є продовженням радянської політики, спрямованої на знищення української групової ідентичності. Тож цілком доречним виглядає включення до збірника резолюції Європейського парламенту, Ради Європи та національних парламентів щодо скоєних Російською Федерацією воєнних злочинів, злочинів проти людяності та злочинів геноциду під час повномасштабного вторгнення в Україну.
Presentation of the collection "International Recognition of the Holodomor of 1932-1933 as Genocide of the Ukrainian People": Students Discuss
On February 9, 2024, representatives of the Department of Philosophy and Social Sciences took part in the presentation of the collection "International Recognition of the Holodomor of 1932-1933 as Genocide of the Ukrainian People", which took place at Poltava University of Economics and Trade. The collection includes documents regarding the recognition of the Holodomor as an act of genocide against the Ukrainian people and the commemoration of the victims of the Holodomor, adopted by Parliaments and local authorities of various countries and international organizations. The editor of the publication, Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador, Ambassador at Large of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Igor Ostash, PhD, was a guest and participant of the event. Mr. Ambassador spoke about the significant progress of Ukrainian diplomacy in advancing the issue of legal assessment of the Holodomor at the international level over the past decades, as well as the work on the return of cultural treasures and historical documents to Ukraine. Representatives of the scientific community, and the public of the Poltava region, who participated in the discussion, unanimously agreed that the ongoing russian genocidal war in Ukraine is a continuation of Soviet policies aimed at the destruction of Ukrainian group identity. Therefore, it is entirely appropriate to include in the collection resolutions of the European Parliament, the Council of Europe, and national parliaments regarding the war crimes, crimes against humanity, and genocide committed by the russian federation during its full-scale invasion of Ukraine.
