У виданні Полтавського державного медичного університету «Проблеми екології та медицини» опубліковано роботу «Математична модель прогнозу захворюваності на Covid-19 в Україні з використанням ресурсів Google Trends у реальному часі та на майбутній період» (https://doi.org/10.31718/mep.2022.26.3-4.01). У роботі представлено статистичну експоненціальну модель запитів Google Trends, що дозволяє здійснювати оперативне надійне прогнозування розвитку хвороби, виявляючи істотні зміни у поведінці часового ряду, що відповідає статистичним даним захворюваності.
Так, прогнозований моделлю підйом нових випадків у листопаді-грудні 2023 року співпадає з піком захворюваності в Україні. Станом на 11 грудня 2023 року із 1,3 млн випадків респіраторних хвороб у більшості фіксувалися випадки коронавірусної хвороби.
Такий підхід до моделювання динаміки розповсюдження COVID-19 може застосовуватися для відстеження спалахів хвороби та оперативного реагування на них як у загальнонаціональному, так і у місцевому масштабах.
Окрім цього, у результаті виконання науково-інноваційної роботи зареєстровано свідоцтво про реєстрацію авторського права на твір «Алгоритм побудови математичної моделі прогнозу захворюваності на Covid-19 з використанням ресурсів Google Trends у реальному часі на майбутні періоди» та медичну технологію «Математична модель прогнозу захворюваності на COVID-19 в Україні з використанням ресурсів Google Trends у реальному часі та на майбутній період», опубліковано наукове повідомлення у Переліку наукової (науково-технічної) продукції, призначеної для впровадження досягнень медичної науки у сферу охорони здоров’я Міністерства охорони здоров’я України

Findings of New Research by PSMU Scientists on the Spread of COVID-19
The "Medical and Ecological Problems" journal of Poltava State Medical University has published the article titled "Mathematical Model for Forecasting Covid-19 Incidence in Ukraine Using Google Trends Resources in Real-Time and for Future Periods" (https://doi.org/10.31718/mep.2022.26.3-4.01). The paper presents a statistical exponential model of Google Trends queries, enabling reliable and real-time forecasting of the disease's development by identifying significant changes in the time series behavior corresponding to statistical illness data.
According to the model, the projected increase in new cases in November-December 2023 aligns with the peak incidence of the disease in Ukraine. As of December 11, 2023, out of 1.3 million cases of respiratory diseases, most were cases of coronavirus disease.
This approach to modeling the dynamics of COVID-19 spread can be applied to track disease outbreaks and respond promptly on both a national and local scale.
Additionally, as a result of scientific and innovative work, a copyright certificate has been registered for the work "Algorithm for Constructing a Mathematical Model for Forecasting Covid-19 Incidence Using Google Trends Resources in Real-Time for Future Periods" and the medical technology "Mathematical Model for Forecasting COVID-19 Incidence in Ukraine Using Google Trends Resources in Real-Time and for Future Periods."
