Представники ПДМУ на чолі з проректором ЗВО з науково-педагогічної та виховної роботи, професором Валерієм Похильком та: доцентами кафедри фізичної та реабілітаційної медицини Євгеном Страшком і Валерієм Жамардієм; доцентом кафедри психіатрії, наркології та медичної психології, керівником Центру ветеранського розвитку ПДМУ Дмитром Бойком, головою організації ветеранів ПДМУ, майором Віктором Лебедєвим взяли участь у проведенні «Регіонального спортивного форуму ветеранів війни», який пройшов 11 лютого 2024 року на базі Полтавського художнього музею (Галерея мистецтв ім. Миколи Ярошенка).
Темами програми форуму та питаннями для обговорення спікерами народним депутатом України Олексієм Устенком, першим заступнтком голови Полтавської обласної ради Олександром Лемешком, начальницею управління молоді та спорту Полтавської ОВА Мариною Трохименко, головою ПП фракції «Слуга народу» Полтавської міської ради Антоном Ярмолюком та представником Уповноваженої Верховної ради України у Полтавській області Владиславом Носенком були наступні: «Роль спорту у соціальній та психологічної реабілітації ветеранів війни», «Виклики у забезпеченні доступу ветеранів до спортивних заходів та об’єктів у регіоні», «Перспективи розвитку спортивної реабілітації ветеранів війни в регіоні».
З доповіддю на форумі на тему «Ветеранський розвиток в контексті спорту на базі Центру ветеранського розвитку ПДМУ» виступив Валерій Похилько. Він поділився з гостями та спікерами форуму своїми поглядами на виклики та інновації розвитку фізичної, психологічної та соціальної реабілітації ветеранів під час війни.
Модераторами форуму були також керівники громадської організації «Федерація стронгмену України» та учасники всеукраїнських змагань «Сильні України».
The role of sports in the rehabilitation of war veterans
Representatives of the PSMU led by the Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs and Extracurricula Activities, Professor Valerii Pokhylko, along with Associate Professors of the Department of Physical and Rehabilitation Medicine, Yevhen Strashko and Valerii Zhamardii; Associate Professor of the Department of Psychiatry, Narcology and Medical Psychology, Head of the Veterans Development Center of the PSMU, Dmytro Boyko; Chairman of the Veterans' Organization of the PSMU, Major Viktor Lebedyev, took part in the "Regional Sports Forum for War Veterans," which took place on February 11, 2024, at the Poltava Art Museum (Mykola Yaroshenko Art Gallery).
The topics of the forum program and the issues for discussion by the speakers, including Ukrainian MP Oleksiy Ustenko, First Deputy Chairman of the Poltava Regional Council Oleksandr Lemeshko, Head of the Youth and Sports Department of the Poltava Regional State Administration Marina Trokhymenko, Chairman of the "Sluha Narody" fraction of the Poltava City Council Anton Yarmoliuk, and representative of the Verkhovna Rada Commissioner for Human Rights in the Poltava Region Vladyslav Nosenko, were as follows: "The role of sports in the social and psychological rehabilitation of war veterans," "Challenges in ensuring veterans' access to sports events and facilities in the region," "Prospects for the development of sports rehabilitation for war veterans in the region."
Valerii Pokhylko delivered a report at the forum on the topic "Veteran Development in the Context of Sports Based on the Veterans Development Center of the PSMU." He shared his views with the guests and forum speakers on the challenges and innovations in the development of physical, psychological, and social rehabilitation for veterans during the war.
The forum moderators also included the Heads of the public organization "Strongman Federation of Ukraine" and participants in the all-Ukrainian competitions "Strong Ukraine."
