Це питання було порушено напередодні Дня української писемності та мови під час бесіди-презентації зі здобувачами освіти першого курсу стоматологічного факультету бібліотекою ПДМУ й кафедрою українознавства та гуманітарної підготовки.
Дивно, що вороги України розуміли значення української мови й боялися її, а ми, українці, так легковажимо й досі не бачимо різниці, якою мовою спілкуватися – акцентувалося у зверненні до присутніх завідувачкою кафедри Тетяною Лещенко.
Дійсно, української мови боялися, її гнобили всі, хто тимчасово завойовував наші землі. За свою історію наша мова пережила поза сотню актів лінгвоциду. Нині – XXI століття, а в нас знову війна! І ми знову віддаємо життя за мову, за свою націю. Сьогодні варто розмовляти українською, бодай заради тих, хто за неї поліг у наш із вами час!
Читаймо, пишімо, спілкуймося нашою, співучою та соловʼїною – українською! Бо ж відомо: нема мови – нема народу.
What needs to be done for Ukrainians to start communicating in Ukrainian?
This question was raised on the eve of the Day of Ukrainian Literacy and Language during a discussion-presentation with the first-year students of the Faculty of Dentistry by the PSMU library and the Department of Ukrainian Studies and Humanities.
It is strange that Ukraine's enemies understood the importance of the Ukrainian language and feared it, while we, Ukrainians, so carelessly still do not see the difference in which language to communicate – emphasized by the Head of the Department, Tetiana Leshchenko, in her address to those present.
Indeed, the Ukrainian language induced fear; it was oppressed by all who temporarily occupied our lands. Throughout its history, our language has endured over a hundred acts of linguistic genocide. Now – the 21st century, and we are at war again! And once again, we are giving our lives for the language, for our nation. Today, it is worth speaking Ukrainian, if only for the sake of those who laid down their lives for it in our time.
Let's read, write, and communicate in our, melodious, and nightingale-like Ukrainian language! Because it is known: no language, no nation.
