За ініціативи завідувача кафедри нервових хвороб, професора Михайла Дельви 15 грудня 2023 року відбулась надзвичайно цікава подія – конференція неврологів та оториноларингологів м. Полтави, присвячена патологіям, які знаходяться на стику двох спеціальностей, – неврології та оториноларингології.
У своїй доповіді професор Михайло Дельва висвітлив наукові аспекти етіології, патогенезу, клініки та лікування різних типів головокружіння. Особлива увага була приділена питанням диференційної діагностики системного та несистемного запаморочення, практичним методикам діагностики рівня ураження слухового та вестибулярного аналізаторів.
Завідувач кафедри оториноларингології з офтальмологією, к. мед. н. Михайло Безега присвятив свою доповідь ураженням ЛОР-органів при вибухових травмах.
У форматі онлайн до професійного спілкування приєднався вузькопрофільний спеціаліст – вестибулопатолог, провідний науковий співробітник, лабораторія клінічної аудіології та вестибулології ДУ «Інститут отоларингології ім. проф. О. С. Коломійченка НАМН України», к. мед. н. Бєлякова І. А.
Жвава дискусія виникла у лікарів з приводу етапності та спілного лікування пацієнтів і неврологом, і оториноларингологом.

Current life imposes new demands on medical professionals and gives rise to new topics for professional communication
On the initiative of the Head of the Department of Neurological Diseases, Professor Mykhailo Delva, an exceptionally interesting event took place on December 15, 2023 – a conference of neurologists and otolaryngologists in Poltava dedicated to pathologies at the intersection of two specialties – neurology and otolaryngology.
In his presentation, Professor Mykhailo Delva highlighted the scientific aspects of the etiology, pathogenesis, clinical presentation and treatment of various types of dizziness. Special attention was given to the issues of differential diagnosis of systemic and non-systemic dizziness, as well as practical diagnostic methods for assessing the involvement of the auditory and vestibular analyzers.
The Head of the Department of Otolaryngology with Ophthalmology, Mykhailo Bezega, Ph.D. devoted his presentation to injuries to ENT organs in explosive traumas.
In the online format, I. A. Bieliakova, Ph.D, a specialist in vestibulopathy, a leading researcher at the Laboratory of Clinical Audiology and Vestibulology of the Institute of Otolaryngology named after Prof. O.S. Kolomiychenko NAMN of Ukraine, joined for professional communication.
A lively discussion arose among the physicians regarding the staged and collaborative treatment of patients by both neurologists and otolaryngologists. Notably, discussing issues at the intersection of specialties is always interesting, relevant and beneficial for the professional growth of the physcians!
