Цукровий діабет - це серйозне захворювання, яке триває протягом усього життя. Щороку від нього помирає понад мільйон людей, і захворіти на нього може кожен. Кількість хворих на діабет щороку зростає. За даними Всесвітньої організації охорони здоров’я (ВООЗ), приблизно 422 мільйони людей у всьому світі живуть з діабетом – у чотири рази більше, ніж 40 років тому. 

30 квітня за сприянням студентської ради медичного факультету № 2 проведено лекцію  на тему ''У фокусі пацієнт з предіабетом та цукровим діабетом 2 типу. Алгоритми діагностики та лікування'', спікером якої була Златослава Шаєнко - к. мед. н., доцент кафедри ендокринології з дитячими інфекційними хворобами. 

Лекцію відвідали студенти 1-х-6-х курсів, які поглибили свої знання з діабетології.

Students of the 1st to 6th years of study deepened their knowledge of diabetology

Diabetes is a serious disease that lasts a lifetime. More than a million people die from it every year, and anyone can get it. The number of people with diabetes is growing every year. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), approximately 422 million people worldwide are living with diabetes - four times more than 40 years ago.

On April 30, with the assistance of the Student Council of the Faculty of Medicine No. 2, a lecture was held on the topic 'Focus on the patient with prediabetes and type 2 diabetes. Algorithms of Diagnosis and Treatment'', which was delivered by Dr. Zlatoslava Shaienko, PhD, Associate Professor of the Department of Endocrinology with Pediatric Infectious Diseases.

The lecture was attended by the students of the 1st to 6th years of study who deepened their knowledge of diabetology.
