20-21 березня 2024 року в м. Києві в національному  медичному університеті ім. О. О. Богомольця» за ініціативи кафедри ортодонтії та пропедевтики ортопедичної стоматології відбулась науково-практична конференція з міжнародною участю «Сучасна ортодонтія: реалії та перспективи». Кафедра ортодонтії  Полтавського державного медичного університету взяла активну участь в науково-практичній конференції. Завідувачка кафедри Любов Смаглюк і доцентка кафедри кандидат медичних наук Анастасія Ляховська підготували і презентували доповідь «Фактори впливу на баланс функції і форми зубощелепної ділянки». У презентації відображені сучасні тенденції щодо розуміння концепції взаємозв’язку між формою та функцією в зубощелепній системі, детально обґрунтовано важливість розуміння цих базових концепцій у віковому аспекті з метою раціонального планування комплексу лікувально-профілактичних заходів. 

"Modern orthodontics: realities and prospects": the topic discussed by orthodontists at the conference in Kyiv

On March 20-21, 2024 in Kyiv, at the Bogomolets National Medical University, a scientific and practical conference with international participation "Modern Orthodontics: Realities and Prospects" was held at the initiative of the Department of Orthodontics and Propaedeutics of Prosthetic Dentistry. The Department of Orthodontics of Poltava State Medical University took an active part in the scientific and practical conference. Head of the Department, Liubov Smagliuk, and Associate Professor of the Department, PhD in Medical Sciences, Anastasiia Liakhovska prepared and presented a report "Factors influencing the balance of function and shape of the dentoalveolar area". The presentation reflected the current trends in understanding the concept of the relationship between form and function in the dentition, and substantiated in detail the importance of understanding these basic concepts in the age aspect for the purpose of rational planning of a set of treatment and prevention measures.
