«Історія становлення медицини Полтавщини та України в загальносвітовому контексті» - тема зустрічі, яку розкрила під час екскурсії музеєм Університету його директорка Таміла Дашевська.

8-класники загальноосвітньої школи № 10 ім. В. Г. Короленка із захопленням слухали розповідь про медицину первісної доби Полтавщини, про перші прототипи медичних інструментів і довготривалу гендерну дискримінацію у цій професії, (бо лікувати мали право виключно чоловіки). Діти зупинились біля локації з народної медицини, щоб роздивитись різновиди цілющого зілля, послухали дивовижну історію з розвитку галузі акушерства та гінекології, доторкнулися до першої стоматологічної бормашини ХVII століття та відкрили для себе портативний фонокардіограф часів Другої світової. А ще взяли до відому імена перших і кращих лікарів-новаторів різних часів, що працювали на теренах Полтавщини та ПДМУ. Локація, присвячена нинішній війні також викликала жвавий інтерес відвідувачів.

Учні цікавились експонатами, активно відповідали на запитання екскурсовода, робили селфі і обіцяли повернутись.

Захід відбувся в рамках інформаційної вступної кампанії вступу до ПДМУ та проведення Дня відкритих дверей.

An interactive lecture-excursion was held at the Folk Museum of History of PSMU for the pupils of the secondary school №10 of Poltava

“The history of medicine of Poltava region and Ukraine in the global context” was the topic of the meeting, which was revealed by Tamila Dashevska, the Director of the University Museum, during the tour of the University Museum.

The 8-graders of V.G. Korolenko Secondary School No. 10 were fascinated with the story about the medicine of the primitive era of Poltava region, the first prototypes of medical instruments and the long-term gender discrimination in this profession (because only men had the right to treat). The schoolchildren stopped at the folk medicine location to look at different types of healing herbs, listened to an amazing story about the development of obstetrics and gynecology, touched the first dental drill of the seventeenth century, and discovered a portable phonocardiograph from the Second World War. They also learned the names of the first and best innovative doctors of different times who worked in Poltava region and PSMU. The location devoted to the current war also aroused a keen interest of the visitors.

The students were interested in the exhibits, actively answered the guide's questions, took selfies and promised to come back.

The event was held as part of the information campaign for admission to PSMU and the Open Day.
