24 жовтня 2024 року в Полтавському державному медичному університеті - знакова подія. Розпочалась Всеукраїнська науково-практична конференція з міжнародною участю «Сучасні досягнення та перспективи внутрішньої медицини». А ще Її робота цього разу присвячена 50-річчю кафедри внутрішньої медицини №1. Від закладів вищої освіти із різних міст України для участі з`їхалися науковці. Київ, Харків, Суми, Львів, Дніпро – це неповний перелік міст, представники яких мають що сьогодні вагоме сказати і висловити своє бачення вирішення актуальних проблем внутрішньої медицини.
Відкрив конференцію проректор з науково-педагогічної роботи та післядипломної освіти ЗВО ПДМУ, доктор медичних наук, професор Ігор Скрипник. Після привітання учасників він зазначив, що кафедра внутрішньої медицини № 1 є одною із перших кафедр фундаментальної медицини, пов`язаною з відкриттям у тодішньому ПМСІ лікувального (сьогодні медичного) факультету. ЇЇ становлення та розвиток тісно переплітається з іменем відомого професора, який присвятив організації та роботі на ній 46 років професійного життя – доктора медичних наук Максима Андрійовича Дудченка.
Державний Гімн України ознаменував урочисте відкриття конференції. Хвилиною мовчання вшанували полеглих героїв на російсько-Українській війні, без подвигів яких цей день би не відбувся…
Говорить ректор Полтавського державного медичного університету, професор Вячеслав Ждан:
«У 1978 році я став студентом цього ж Університету, тоді Інституту. І з 1979 року моя особиста доля також була пов`язана з кафедрою внутрішньої медицини №1, а отже, і з Максимом Андрійовичем Дудченком. Це мій Вчитель, під чиїм керівництвом я захистив і кандидатську, і докторську дисертації. Він – уособлення інтелігентності, виваженості у прийнятті рішень. Його уроки і мудрі настанови в нагоді мені і сьогодні, коли вже доводиться і самому бути не тільки лікарем, а й адміністратором, керівником. Ми всі, професор Максим Потяженко, Сергій Котов, сьогодні директор Департаменту охорони здоров`я Полтавської міськради, - із тієї когорти. Починали на кафедрі внутрішньої медицини №1, і життєві та лікарські принципи наших викладачів, які тоді працювали на ній, лягли в основу і нашої власної професійної діяльності. Ними традиційно ось вже півстоліття продовжує ділитися з нашою сучасною студентською молоддю колектив кафедри, якому завжди притаманні відданість справі, почуття обов`язку і порядність».
Далі ректор ЗВО ПДМУ Вячеслав Ждан за вагомі здобутки у підготовці кваліфікованих медичних кадрів та з нагоди 50-річчя кафедри внутрішньої медицини №1 вручив Почесні грамоти від МОЗ України, Полтавської ОВА, Полтавської обласної ради, Полтавської міської ради та Грамоти ректора ПДМУ.
Поважні гості, відомі вчені, які прибули з інших міст України, у своїх виступах давали високу оцінку науковій та педагогічній діяльності Кафедри-Ювілярки.
«Окрім того, що кафедра - одна із провідних кафедр високого європейського рівня, ви ще й – лідери в Україні, світовій гастроентерології!» - зокрема сказала у своєму виступі член-кореспондент НАМН України Наталія Харченко.
Після урочистого відкриття учасники конференції приступили до реалізації першого пленарного засідання.

The All-Ukrainian Scientific and Practical Conference with International Participation, dedicated to the 50th Anniversary of the Department of Internal Medicine No. 1, begins at PSMU: Highlights of the Grand Opening
On October 24, 2024, a significant event took place at Poltava State Medical University. The All-Ukrainian Scientific and Practical Conference with International Participation, titled “Current Achievements and Prospects of Internal Medicine,” began. This year, the conference is dedicated to the 50th anniversary of the Department of Internal Medicine No. 1. Scientists from various cities across Ukraine, including Kyiv, Kharkiv, Sumy, Lviv, and Dnipro, gathered to participate, representing institutions of higher education. These esteemed participants shared their valuable insights and solutions to current issues in internal medicine.
The conference was opened by Professor Ihor Skrypnyk, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs and Postgraduate Education at PSMU, Doctor of Medical Sciences. After welcoming the participants, he noted that the Department of Internal Medicine No. 1 is one of the pioneering departments of fundamental medicine, linked to the establishment of the General medicine (now Medical) faculty at PMSI. Its development is closely associated with Professor Maksym Andriyovych Dudchenko, Doctor of Medical Sciences, who dedicated 46 years of his professional life to organizing and working at the department.
The solemn opening of the conference was marked by the performance of the National Anthem of Ukraine, followed by a moment of silence to honor the fallen heroes of the russian-Ukrainian War, whose sacrifices made this day possible.
PSMU Rector, Professor Viacheslav Zhdan, remarked:
"In 1978, I became a student at this university, formerly known as institute. Since 1979, my personal journey has also been tied to the Department of Internal Medicine, and thus, to Maksym Andriyovych Dudchenko. He is my mentor, under whose guidance I defended both my PhD and Doctorate. He embodies intelligence and thoughtfulness in decision-making. His lessons and wise advice continue to help me today, not only as a doctor but also in my administrative and leadership roles. All of us—Professor Maksym Potiazhenko, Serhii Kotov, now Director of the Department of Health and Social Development at the Poltava City Council—are from that group. We began at the Department of Internal Medicine, and the principles of life and medicine instilled by our teachers then form the foundation of our own professional work. For half a century now, the department’s team has continued to share these values with our students, demonstrating commitment to the profession, a sense of duty, and integrity.”
Rector Viacheslav Zhdan then presented Certificates of Honor from the Ministry of Health of Ukraine, Poltava Region Military Administration, Poltava Region Council, Poltava City Council, and Rector’s Certificates to the Department of Internal Medicine No. 1 for significant contributions to training qualified medical professionals and on the occasion of its 50th anniversary.
Distinguished guests and renowned scientists from other cities in Ukraine praised the department’s scientific and pedagogical achievements in their speeches.
"In addition to being one of the leading departments of a high European standard, you are also leaders in Ukraine and in global gastroenterology!" noted Nataliia Kharchenko, Corresponding Member of the National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine, during her speech.
After the grand opening, conference participants proceeded with the first plenary session.
