У рамках проведення Міжнародної кампанії «16 днів проти насильства» викладачка кафедри громадського здоров’я з лікарсько-трудовою експертизою Оксана Краснова провела зі здобувачами 21 і 23 групи 6-ого курсу міжнародного факультету просвітницький захід на тему «Міжнародний день боротьби за ліквідацію насильства щодо жінок».
Мільйони жінок в усьому світі і досі потерпають від насильства та аб'юзу, і часто ми навіть не в змозі оцінити масштаби проблеми, адже насильство над жінками нерідко є прихованим. Самі жінки можуть замовчувати насильство, що є симптомом глибших проблем у нашому суспільстві. Тому дуже важливо обговорювати проблему гендерно зумовленого насильства і закликати йому протидіяти. Бути небайдужими, коли стаємо свідками насильства: втрутитися, допомогти, не мовчати!
Під час бесіди викладачка разом зі студентами обговорили, які дії вважаються насильством, які є види насильства, куди постраждала особа може звернутися за допомогою.
Special focus on gender-based violence: joining the discussion
As part of the International Campaign "16 Days Against Violence," Oksana Krasnova, Lecturer at the Department of Public Health with Medical Expertise of Work Ability Occupational and Labor Expertise, organized an educational event on "International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women" with the six-year students of Groups 21 and 23 of the International Faculty.
Millions of women worldwide continue to suffer from violence and abuse, and often we are unable to assess the scale of the problem, as violence against women is frequently hidden. Women themselves may remain silent about violence, which is a symptom of deeper problems in our society. Therefore, it is crucial to discuss the issue of gender-based violence and call for resistance to it. We must not be indifferent when witnessing violence: intervene, help do not remain silent!
During the discussion, the lecturer, along with students, talked about what actions are considered violent, what types of violence exist and where a victim can seek help.
