7 лютого 2024 року відбулося чергове засідання Вченої ради. Його відкрив голова, ректор університету. професор Вячеслав Ждан.
Серед головних питань порядку денного був аналіз стану навчальної роботи у Полтавському державному медичному університеті у I півріччі та завдання науково-педагогічних колективів кафедр на II півріччя 2023-2024 року. Це детально висвітлив у своїй доповіді начальник відділу з науково-педагогічної роботи та організації навчально-наукового процесу, професор Іван Старченко. Зокрема, він відзначив помітну позитивну динаміку у роботі ННМІ та Фахового медико-фармацевтичного коледжу, суттєву активізацію діяльності випускових мультидисциплінарних кафедр, пріоритетний напрямок фізичної та реабілітаційної медицини і збільшення кількості освітніх програм, що свідчить про значне розширення контингенту студентів. «Загалом, сесія, що минула, не має суттєвих відмінностей від попередніх», - сказав у підсумку професор Іван Старченко.
На засіданні Вченої ради також йшлося про діяльність Центру ветеранського розвитку ПДМУ та перспективи ветеранської політики на теренах Полтавщини. Про це розповів керівник Центру, доцент закладу вищої освіти кафедри психіатрії, наркології та медичної психології Дмитро Бойко. Він наголосив на тому, що головними завданнями залишаються три кити роботи Центру – це реінтеграція, соціалізація та реабілітація ветеранів, членів їх сімей. За проведеними дослідженнями були виокремлені різні проблеми повернення їх до мирного життя і адаптації у суспільстві. Для України не завжди підходить досвід зарубіжних країн, потрібні власні напрацювання у наданні психологічної підтримки цим людям, і треба працювати над власною методикою, на цьому серед іншого також зосереджена робота сьогодні Центру ветеранського розвитку ПДМУ.
Вчена рада заслухала та затвердила звіт завідувачки кафедри внутрішньої медицини № 3 з фтизіатрією Оксани Борзих про виконання нею умов контракту на посаді за 5 років.
Перший проректор з науково-педагогічної роботи, професор Валентин Дворник представив навчальні видання науково-педагогічних працівників університету, рекомендованих до надання їм відповідного грифу. Одноголосно вони були затвердженні на засіданні.
Серед іншого розглянули також поточні виробничі питання.

Among the main agenda items was the analysis of the academic process at Poltava State Medical University in the first half of the year and the tasks of the scientific and academic staff of departments for the second half of the academic year 2023-2024. This was detailed in the report by the Head of the Department of scientific and pedagogical work and organization of the educational and scientific process, Professor Ivan Starchenko. In particular, he noted a noticeable positive dynamic in the work of the Medical Education and Research Instituteand the Professional College of Medicine and Pharmacy, significant activation of the activities of multidisciplinary departments, a priority direction in physical and rehabilitation medicine, and an increase in the number of educational programs, indicating a significant expansion of the student contingent. "Overall, the last session does not have significant differences from the previous ones," - said Professor Ivan Starchenko in conclusion.
The meeting of the Academic Council also discussed the activities of the Center for Veteran Development of PSMU and the prospects of veteran policy in the Poltava region. This was reported by the Head of the Center, Associate Professor Dmytro Boyko, Department of Psychiatry, Narcology and Medical Psychology. He emphasized that the main tasks of the Center remain reintegration, socialization, and rehabilitation of veterans and their family members. Various problems of their return to civilian life and adaptation to society were identified through research. The experience of foreign countries is not always suitable for Ukraine; its own developments in providing psychological support to these people are needed, and work on developing its own methodology is also focused on by the Center for Veteran Development of PSMU.
The Academic Council heard and approved the report of the Head of the Department of Internal Medicine No. 3 with Phthisiology, Oksana Borzykh, on her performance of the conditions of the contract for 5 years.
The First Vice-Rector for Research and Education, Professor Valentyn Dvornyk, presented educational publications of the university's scientific and academic staff recommended for the appropriate classification. They were unanimously approved at the meeting.
Among other things, current issues were also discussed.
