1 листопада 2023 року доценти кафедри біології Наталія Улановська-Циба та Анжела Ваценко разом із керованими групами, здобувачами освіти другого курсу (СНТН) медичного факультету № 2 та другого курсу медичного факультету № 1, відвідали експозицію «Тріумф людини. Мешканці України, які пройшли нацистські концтабори». Експозиція підготовлена працівниками Українського інституту національної пам’яті.
День вигнання нацистських окупантів з України відзначається щороку 28 жовтня. У цей день 1944 року визволений найзахідніший регіон України -Закарпаття. Тому саме цю дату визначено Указом Президента як День визволення України від нацистських загарбників.
За 1933-1945 роки через концтабори СС пройшли близько 2,3 млн людей. 74% тих, хто переступив браму концтабору, залишилися там навіки. Україна не була незалежною державою, і українців не визнавали як окрему націю. Уродженці Радянської України в табірній статистиці проходили як громадяни CРСР. Вихідці з України були і в Аушвіці, і в Бухенвальді, і в Дахау, і в Равенсбрюку, в інших концтаборах нацистської Німеччини.
Студенти і викладачі ознайомилися з унікальними матеріалами експозиції про українців, які пройшли важкі випробування, але не втратили людської гідності. Під час заходу говорили про небайдужість, про силу волі, віру й любов, про перемогу надії.
Studying the History of the Ukrainian People: Ukrainian Prisoners of Third Reich Concentration Camps
On November 1, 2023, Nataliia Ulanovska-Tsyba and Anzhela Vatsenko, Associate Professors of the Department of Biology, along with their guided groups, second-year students of the Medical Faculty No. 2 and second-year students of the Medical Faculty No. 1, visited the exhibition "Triumph of Humanity. Residents of Ukraine who Survived Nazi Concentration Camps." The exhibition was prepared by the Ukrainian Institute of National Memory.
The Day of the Expulsion of Nazi Occupiers from Ukraine is marked every year on October 28. On this day in 1944, the westernmost region of Ukraine, Transcarpathia, was liberated. Therefore, this date was designated by the President's Decree as the Day of Ukraine's Liberation from Nazi Invaders.
Between 1933 and 1945, about 2.3 million people passed through the SS concentration camps. 74% of those who crossed the gates of the concentration camps remained there forever. Ukraine was not an independent state, and Ukrainians were not recognized as a separate nation. Natives of Soviet Ukraine in the camp statistics were recorded as citizens of the USSR. People from Ukraine were in Auschwitz, Buchenwald, Dachau, Ravensbrück and other concentration camps of Nazi Germany.
Students and teachers familiarized themselves with the unique materials of the exhibition about Ukrainians who went through difficult trials but did not lose their human dignity. During the event, discussions were held about empathy, the strength of will, faith, and love and the victory of hope.
