Доктор філософії, доцент кафедри біології Костянтин Шевченко для здобувачів вищої освіти спеціальності 162 «Біотехнології та біоінженерія» при Полтавському державному аграрному університеті провів в онлайн-режимі гостьову лекцію з навчальної дисципліни «Генетика» на тему: «Закономірності успадкування ознак». Лекція охоплювала такі питання:

-  закони спадковості Г. Менделя та їхнє застосування до спадкових характеристик у рослин і тварин;

- генетичні основи людської спадковості, популяційна генетика, генетичні дослідження та  застосування їх у біотехнології.

Виклад матеріалу був цікавим та змістовним, ілюстрований чисельними прикладами для розкриття складності генетичних механізмів. Наприкінці лекції було надано відповіді на запитання студентів, що допомогло розкрити складність генетичних механізмів.

Patterns of trait inheritance: amusing facts

Kostiantyn Shevchenko, PhD, Associate Professor of the Department of Biology gave an on-line guest lecture “Patterns of Inheritance of Traits” on the subject “Genetics” for students majoring in Biotechnology and Bioengineering at Poltava State Agrarian University. The lecture covered the following issues:

- G. Mendel's laws of heredity and their application to hereditary characteristics in plants and animals;

- genetic bases of human heredity, population genetics, genetic research and their application in biotechnology.

The presentation of the material was interesting and informative, illustrated with numerous examples to reveal the complexity of genetic mechanisms. At the end of the lecture, the students' questions were answered, which helped to reveal the complexity of genetic mechanisms.
