Щорічно 24 березня світ відзначає День боротьби з туберкульозом.
Для нас подія займає важливе значення – адже Україна ще знаходиться серед країн, де спостерігається високий рівень захворюваності та запроваджуються потужні заходи боротьби з цією хворобою. За часи Незалежності вдалося реалізувати низку сучасних перетворень для подолання туберкульозу – інноваційні методи діагностики, короткі режими лікування, які є абсолютно безкоштовними для всіх громадян України.
І якщо до 2022 року головною проблемою з виявлення і усунення захворювання була пандемія COVID-19, то від 24 лютого 2022 року і сьогодні – ворожі злочинні дії російської армії
Через обстріли, ворожі атаки та інші злочинні дії українські пацієнти залишаються без доступу до обстежень і лікування, знищується та розграбовується медична інфраструктура.
У таких важких умовах медичні працівники підлаштовуються під реалії життя і роблять все необхідне, щоб у жодного пацієнта не відібрали надію та можливість на одужання. Особливо це стосується дітей – зменшення дитячого інфікування мікобактерією туберкульозу є чи не найголовнішим завданням сучасної фтизіатричної допомоги.
Сьогодні введено принцип екстериторіальності – пацієнти з туберкульозом можуть отримати лікування в будь-якому куточку країни, де б вони не знаходилися, а якщо будь-хто підозрює в себе симптоми туберкульозу – то він може отримати консультацію в найближчому протитуберкульозному закладі.

"Health for All: How to Recognize the 'First Bells' of Tuberculosis?"
On average, each year, tuberculosis is diagnosed in 20-25 thousand Ukrainians. This is a very sad statistic. Is it a verdict for the future?! Doctors have their opinion and are ready to express it.
Every year on March 24th, the world celebrates World Tuberculosis Day. For us, this event holds significant importance – as Ukraine is still among the countries with a high level of disease prevalence and powerful measures are being implemented to combat this disease. Since Independence, a series of modern transformations have been successfully implemented to overcome tuberculosis – innovative diagnostic methods, short treatment regimens that are absolutely free for all Ukrainian citizens.
And if until 2022, the main problem in detecting and eliminating the disease was the COVID-19 pandemic, from February 24, 2022, and today – it is the hostile criminal actions of the russian army. Due to shelling, enemy attacks, and other criminal actions, Ukrainian patients are left without access to examinations and treatment, medical infrastructure is being destroyed and looted.
In such difficult conditions, medical workers adapt to the realities of life and do everything necessary to not take away hope and the opportunity for recovery from any patient. This is especially true for children – reducing childhood infection with Mycobacterium tuberculosis is perhaps the most important task of modern tuberculosis care.
Currently, the principle of extraterritoriality has been introduced – patients with tuberculosis can receive treatment anywhere in the country, no matter where they are, and if anyone suspects symptoms of tuberculosis in themselves – they can seek consultation at the nearest antituberculosis facility.
Do not be afraid of this diagnosis, do not be afraid to seek help – tuberculosis is curable, and we have all the necessary medications to make patients healthy. Together, we will overcome all trials!
