1 грудня, у Всесвітній день боротьби зі СНІДом, волонтерський загін «Єдність» ПДМУ за підтримки Департаменту культури, молоді та сім'ї Полтавської міської ради та БО "Світло надії" провели акцію "Живи безпечно» у ТРЦ «Київ».
Попри всі стереотипи, ніхто, на жаль, не може бути застрахованих від зараження ВІЛ. Але, якщо знати про шляхи передачі та методи захисту, можна зупинити цю жахливу загрозу.
За традицією, студенти-волонтери інформували населення про важливість обізнаності про ВІЛ/СНІД та наголошували на існуванні бар'єрних методів контрацепції, роздаючи інформаційні листівки та презервативи. Також усі охочі отримали оральні тести для самоперевірки.
Крім того, представники волонтерського загону «Єдність» долучилися до акції, яка проходила в університеті та пройшли тестування на ВІЛ інфекцію.

"Live Safely": "Unity" Group Volunteer Students of PSMU Conducted Awareness Campaign
On December 1, World AIDS Day, the volunteer group "Unity" at PSMU, with the support of the Department of Culture, Youth, and Family of the Poltava City Council and the NGO "Light of Hope," organized the campaign "Live Safely" at the “Kyiv” shopping mall.
Despite all stereotypes, unfortunately, no one can be immune from HIV infection. However, having knowledge about transmission routes and protective methods can help stop this dreadful threat.
Traditionally, volunteer students informed the public about the importance of awareness regarding HIV/AIDS and emphasized the existence of barrier methods of contraception, distributing informational leaflets and condoms. Additionally, all interested individuals received oral self-testing kits.
Furthermore, representatives of the volunteer group "Unity" actively participated in the campaign held at the university, undergoing testing for HIV infection.
