Ряд заходів, спрямованих на допомогу бездомним тваринам, в тому числі й тим, що постраждали від війни, залишили у волонтерів-медиків, студентів ПДМУ, незабутні враження. Можливість бути корисними й чуйними, турбота та співчуття і напрацьовані навички по зчитуванню невербальних сигналів (міміки, мови тіла) тварин про допомогу - все це виховує гуманність і доброту, людяність та повагу до слабших, а ще працює в обох напрямках як антистрес.
Волонтери «Almino» у 2024 році 12 разів відвідали тимчасовий пункт перетримки безпритульних тварин при КАТП-1628, де допомогли з вигулом собак. А за один візит у середньому студенти-медики встигли зігріти своєю турботою та спілкуванням до 35 самотніх тваринок.
Також на території віварію Універистету волонтери допомогли розвантажити 4 тонни корму для бездомних тварин. А ще організували та провели акцію "Зігрій лапку - зроби добро", в рамках якої доставили 8 мішків з наповнювачем для туалетів загальною вагою 315 кг, а також теплі речі для утеплення будок та шовний матеріал для проведення хірургічних операцій хворих чотирилапих.
Усі учасники, які долучаються до ініціативи допомоги безпритульним, намагаються постійно допомогти тваринкам у пошуку хазяїв та нового дому, розповідаючи про них у соцмережах та всім знайомим.
А ще обіцяють повертатися до чотирилапих знову й знову.
Warming Our Furry Friends with Love: "Ears-Paws-Tails" – Another Initiative by the "Almino" Volunteers at PSMU
A series of events aimed at helping stray animals, including those affected by the war, left unforgettable impressions on the medical volunteers, students of PSMU. The opportunity to be useful and empathetic, the care and compassion shown, and the developed skills in reading the non-verbal signals (facial expressions, body language) of animals in need all foster humanity and kindness, compassion, and respect for the weaker, and also act as a stress-reliever for both sides.
In 2024, the "Almino" volunteers visited the temporary shelter for homeless animals at KATP-1628 12 times, where they helped walk the dogs. During each visit, the medical students managed to warm up and interact with up to 35 lonely animals.
Additionally, on the University vivarium grounds, volunteers helped unload 4 tons of food for stray animals. They also organized and conducted the "Warm a Paw - Do a Good Deed" campaign, during which they delivered 8 bags of litter weighing a total of 315 kg, as well as warm items to insulate the shelters and suture material for performing surgeries on sick four-legged friends.
All participants involved in the initiative to help the stray animals constantly strive to assist the animals in finding owners and new homes by sharing their stories on social media and with everyone they know. And they promise to return to the four-legged friends again and again.
