25 квітня 2024 року напередодні Дня пам'яті про Чорнобильську катастрофу у конференц-залі КП «Полтавський обласний центр стоматології – стоматологічна клінічна поліклініка» Полтавської обласної ради провели виховну годину для студентів ІІІ-го курсу стоматологічного факультету з циклу інформаційно-комунікативних заходів «Лікарі без кордонів: від Сходу до Заходу».
Ініціатори заходу – ліквідатори наслідків аварії у Чорнобильській зоні - Голова Ради ветеранів ПДМУ відділу управління освітньо-виховною та гуманітарною роботою з молоддю Віктор Лебедєв та завідувач кафедри пропедевтики хірургічної стоматології, доктор медичних наук, професор Вадим Новіков.
Спеціальний гість - ліквідатор аварії, методист центру освітнього маркетингу та розвитку Полтавської академії неперервної освіти ім. М. В. Остроградського Олександр Олексенко.
У доступній формі та опираючись на власні спогади, спікери розповіли про кілька місяців з життя та роботи ліквідаторами у 1986-му, які змінили їх життя назавжди, поділились спогадами про перші дні перебування на території забруднення та поступове, довжиною в десятиліття усвідомлення наслідків катастрофи.
Студентам нагадали, що в Університеті нині працюють 9 учасників ліквідації аварії на ЧАЕС, всі вони мають відповідний державний статус і значок ліквідатора, зокрема, і ректор ПДМУ, доктор медичних наук, професор, заслужений лікар України, полковник медичної служби запасу Вячеслав Ждан. Він був ліквідатором у Чорнобильській зоні з червня по липень 1986-го. У почесному списку ліквідаторів, що нині працюють у ПДМУ, - начальник відділу охорони праці академії Антоненко Олександр, кандидат медичних наук Бондаренко Валерій, лаборант кафедри ортопедичної стоматології з імплантологією Кисла Валентина, начальник навчальної частини кафедри медицини катастроф та військової медицини Колачинський Віталій, кандидат медичних наук Нємченко Іван, водій адміністративно-господарчої частини академії Решетник Віктор.
Підбиваючи підсумки, зазначили, що Чорнобильська катастрофа сьогодні є найбільшою за всю історію ядерної енергетики у світі за кількістю загиблих і потерпілих від її наслідків.
Тож, усвідомлюючи це, важливо не допустити подібного. А нащадкам ліквідаторів за будь яку ціну реанімувати забруднену й змучену землю!
38 years of a tragedy that changed the world: University remembers
On April 25, 2024, on the eve of the Day of Remembrance of the Chornobyl Disaster, an educational class for the third-year students of the Dental Faculty was held in the conference hall of the Poltava Regional Center for Dentistry - Dental Polyclinic of the Poltava Regional Council as part of the cycle of information and communication events “Doctors Without Borders: from East to West”.
The event was initiated by the liquidators of the Chornobyl accident, Viktor Lebedev, Chairman of the PSMU Veterans Council, Department of Educational and Humanitarian Work with Youth, and Professor Vadym Novikov, Head of the Department of Propedeutics of Oral Surgery, Doctor of Medical Sciences.
A special guest was Oleksandr Oleksenko, a liquidator of the accident and a methodologist at the Center for Educational Marketing and Development of the Poltava Academy of Continuing Education named after M. V. Ostrohradskyi.
In an accessible form and based on their own memories, the speakers talked about a few months of life and work as liquidators in 1986, which changed their lives forever, shared memories of the first days of staying in the contaminated area and the gradual, decades-long realization of the consequences of the disaster.
The students were reminded that 9 liquidators of the Chornobyl accident are currently working at the University, all of them have the appropriate national status and a badge of a liquidator, including the Rector of PSMU Viacheslav Zhdan, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor, Honored Doctor of Ukraine, reserved Colonel of the Army Medical Service. He was a liquidator in the Chornobyl zone from June to July 1986. The honorary list of liquidators currently working at PSMU includes Oleksandr Antonenko, Head of the Academy's Occupational Health and Safety Department, Valerii Bondarenko, PhD, Valentyna Kysla, Laboratory Assistant at the Department of Prosthetic Dentistry with Implantology, Vitalii Kolachynskyi, Head of the Educational Unit of the Department of Accident and Military Medicine, Ivan Nemchenko, PhD, and Viktor Reshetnyk, driver of the administrative and economic unit of the Academy.
Summarizing the results, they noted that the Chornobyl disaster is today the largest in the history of nuclear energy in the world in terms of the number of deaths and victims of its consequences.
Therefore, realizing this, it is important to prevent this from happening again. And for the descendants of the liquidators to reanimate the contaminated and exhausted land at any cost!
