Всеукраїнський день бібліотек – це справжній день єдності бібліотекарів, читачів і всієї громадськості. Девіз дня у 2023 році – «Бібліотека – твоя синергія перемоги» відзначає важливу роль бібліотек у нашій спільній великій перемозі.
Щороку співробітники бібліотеки ПДМУ вигадують нові формати відзначення цієї знаменної події. Цьогоріч новинкою стало відкриття у залі каталогів книжкової вітальні «Читай українське», де були представлені найкращі книги сучасних українських авторів та наших письменників-земляків із художнього фонду книгозбірні ПДМУ і з власних колекцій співробітників бібліотеки. Яскраві та захоплюючі твори, калейдоскоп ситуацій і подій – реальних і містичних. Ці книги можуть здивувати, зачарувати, але не залишать байдужим нікого.
У холі адмінкорпусу ПДМУ університетську спільноту чекав святковий перегляд «Нас єднають книги», на якому були представлені медичні українськомовні та англійськомовні видання, які нещодавно поповнили фонд бібліотеки ПДМУ. Поряд із переглядом – фотовиставка «Працюємо на перемогу» зі світлинами про життя книгозбірні. Гості заходу брали участь у бібліотечному квілті «Що прочитати», за змістом якого на бібліотечному вебресурсі поповнюватиметься рубрика «Читач рекомендує».
У центральній читальній залі було організовано «Книжкову лікарню» за участі волонтерського загону «Єдність» ПДМУ.
Як і в позаминулі роки, ми вкотре відчули, що бібліотека університетській спільноті не байдужа, що ПДМУ – це один спільний дім для всіх, хто тут навчається, працює, долає наукові вершини, робить крок за кроком в оволодінні медичних знань і своєю працею наближає Перемогу.

“Library is Your Synergy of Victory”
The All-Ukrainian Library Day is a true day of unity for librarians, readers, and the entire community. The motto for 2023, “Library is Your Synergy of Victory,” highlights the crucial role libraries play in our collective great victory.
Every year, the staff of the PSMU library come up with new formats to celebrate this significant event. This year, a new addition was the opening of the “Read Ukrainian” book lounge in the catalog hall, showcasing the best works of contemporary Ukrainian authors and local writers from the artistic collection of the PSMU library, as well as from the personal collections of library staff members. These vivid and captivating works present a kaleidoscope of real and mystical stories. These books have the power to surprise and enchant, leaving no one indifferent.
In the lobby of the PSMU Administrative Building, the university community was presented with the festive exhibition “Books Unite Us,” featuring medical publications in both Ukrainian and English, recently added to the library's collection. Alongside the exhibition was a photo display “Working for Victory,” showcasing moments from the life of the library.
Guests also took part in a library-themed quiz “What to Read,” with recommendations from readers being incorporated into the library's web resources under the section “Reader's Recommendations.”
In the central reading hall, a “Book Hospital” was set up with the participation of the PSMU volunteer group “Unity”.
As in previous years, we once again felt that the library is not indifferent to the university community, and that PSMU is a shared home for all who study, work, strive for academic excellence, progress step by step in acquiring medical knowledge, and through their work approach Victory.
