16 лютого 2024 року співробітники кафедри медицини катастроф та військової медицини ПДМУ Сергій Герасименко і Олександр Кіяшко на запрошення від Полтавської ОВА і Департаменту освіти і науки ОВА взяли участь у Дні відкритих дверей Полтавського ліцею з посиленою військово-фізичною підготовкою імені Віталія Грицаєнка Полтавської обласної ради. Там вони презентували ліцеїстам, потенційним вступникам ПДМУ, діяльність кафедри медицини катастроф і військової медицини, і зокрема, умови вступу та навчання в університеті – одному із провідних медичних університетів України, якому вже понад 100 років.
Учням ліцею надана та проілюстрована наочно інформація про підготовку лікарів на різних факультетах університету, роль та значення професії лікаря в суспільстві.
Особлива увага акцентувалась на умовах підготовки військових лікарів на кафедрі медицини катастроф та військової медицини, на вимогах до офіцерів медичної служби в умовах війни.
Науково-педагогічні працівники кафедри, які мають великий практичний, у тому числі, бойовий досвід, передають його здобувачам вищої освіти. Після завершення навчання з військової підготовки їм присвоюється звання офіцера запасу медичної служби, вони можуть вступати для проходження військової інтернатури в Українській військово-медичній академії та після її закінчення присвятити себе військовій медицині.
An interesting acquaintance can influence the choice of future profession
On February 16, 2024, at the invitation of Poltava Regional Military Administration and the Department of Education and Science of Poltava Regional MilitaryAdministration, Dr. Serhii Herasymenko and Dr. Oleh Kiiashko, the faculty members of the Department of Accident and Military Medicine of PSMU took part in the Open Day of the Vitalii Hrytsaienko Poltava Lyceum with enhanced military and physical training of the Poltava Regional Council. There, they presented the activities of the Department to the lyceum students, potential entrants to PSMU, and in particular, the conditions of admission procedure and study at the university, one of the leading medical universities in Ukraine, which has been operating for over 100 years.
The lyceum students were provided with information about the training of medical and dental professionals at various faculties of the university, the role and importance of the medical profession in society.
Particular attention was paid to the conditions of training doctors in the Armed Forces at the Department of Disaster Medicine and Military Medicine, and to the requirements for medical officers in wartime.
The academic staff of the department, who have extensive practical experience, including combat experience, pass it on to the students. Upon completion of military training, they are awarded the rank of reserve medical officer, can enter the military internship at the Ukrainian Military Medical Academy and, after graduation, devote themselves to military medicine.
