Під таким гаслом 3 грудня 2024 року на кафедрі анатомії людини пройшов захід до Міжнародного дня людей з інвалідністю, який підготували здобувачі освіти І курсу медичного факультету № 1, групи № 13 під керівництвом доцента кафедри анатомії людини Олесі Тихонової, за сприяння колективу бібліотеки університету, зокрема, головного бібліографа Ганни Проценко.

Щороку 3 грудня разом із світовою спільнотою Україна відзначає день людей з інвалідністю. Цей день покликаний привернути увагу до проблем цих людей, захисту їхніх прав, гідності і добробуту, акцентує увагу суспільства на перевагах, які воно отримує від участі людей з інвалідністю в політичному, соціальному, економічному і культурному житті.
Це нагадування людству про його обов’язок виявляти турботу і милосердя до найбільш незахищеної частини суспільства — людей з інвалідністю. Через війну чимало українців втрачають своє здоров’я. Кількість людей з інвалідністю як серед військових, так і цивільних, на жаль, збільшується. Наразі в країні три мільйони людей з інвалідністю.
Україна імплементує міжнародні стандарти щодо забезпечення прав і свобод цієї категорії громадян у національне законодавство. Ці зміни насамперед про те, якою державою ми прагнемо бути, — державою без бар’єрів, де кожен має рівні права та можливості.
Кожна людина має відчувати, що у своїй країні їй завжди прийдуть на допомогу. Цей день — своєрідне підбиття підсумків зробленого, аналіз фактичного становища людей з особливими потребами в суспільстві і визначення планів щодо поліпшення їхнього життєвого рівня.
Нині прогресивне людство в усьому світі засвідчує, що громадяни з обмеженими фізичними можливостями потребують особливої уваги. Для них мають бути створені такі умови, які дають змогу відчувати себе рівними серед рівних. Адже саме ставлення до інвалідів визначає ступінь цивілізованості суспільства. Захищаючи гідність таких особливих людей, ми захищаємо своє людське обличчя.
We Are! We Are Equal!
Under this motto, an event dedicated to the International Day of Persons with Disabilities was held on December 3, 2024, at the Department of Human Anatomy. It was organized by the first-year students of Medical Faculty No. 1, Group No. 13, under the guidance of Associate Professor Olesia Tykhonova, with the support of the university library staff, including Chief Bibliographer Hanna Protsenko.

Each year, on December 3, Ukraine joins the global community in observing the International Day of Persons with Disabilities. This day aims to draw attention to the challenges faced by people with disabilities, protect their rights, dignity, and well-being, and highlight the societal benefits of their active participation in political, social, economic, and cultural life.
It serves as a reminder of humanity's duty to care for and show compassion toward the most vulnerable members of society—people with disabilities. Due to the ongoing war, many Ukrainians have lost their health. The number of people with disabilities, both military personnel and civilians, is unfortunately growing, with three million individuals with disabilities currently in Ukraine.
Ukraine is working to implement international standards for ensuring the rights and freedoms of this demographic into national legislation. These changes reflect the kind of state Ukraine strives to become—a barrier-free nation where everyone has equal rights and opportunities.
Every individual should feel assured that their country will support them in times of need. This day serves as a time to assess what has been accomplished, analyze the current status of people with disabilities in society, and outline plans to improve their quality of life.
Today, progressive societies worldwide recognize that individuals with disabilities require special attention. Conditions must be created to enable them to feel equal among equals. The way a society treats its people with disabilities reflects its level of civilization. By safeguarding the dignity of these remarkable individuals, we uphold our own humanity.
