Доцент кафедри дитячої терапевтичної стоматології Наталія Янко разом зі здобувачами освіти 1 групи 4 курсу стоматологічного факультету використовують сучасний метод лікування твердих тканин зубів Icon під час вивчення теми "Флюороз зубів у дітей: етіологія, патогенез, клінічні прояви, лікування. Техніка реставрації за допомогою сучасних фотополімерних композиційних матеріалів".

Icon– абревіатура від слів Infiltration Concept, що означає «концепція інфільтрації». Інфільтрація – це мікроінвазивне, тобто щадне лікування зубів. Принцип у тому, що рідкий світлокомпозитний матеріал проникає в пористу емаль і надійно «запечатує» відкриту поверхню зуба.

Показаннями до застосування є початковий й поверхневий карієс, гіпоплазія емалі та флюороз (саме його й лікували здобувачі своєму одногрупнику).

Proficiency in Innovative Treatment Approach

Associate Professor Natalia Yanko, Department of Pediatric Therapeutic Dentistry, and the 4-year students of Group 1, Faculty of Dentistry, apply the advanced method of treating of dental hard tissues called Icon while studying the topic "Dental fluorosis in children: etiology, pathogenesis, clinical manifestations, treatment. Restoration technique using innovative photopolymeric composite materials."

Icon stands for Infiltration Concept, which means "infiltration concept." Infiltration is a micro-invasive, i.e., gentle, tooth treatment. The principle is that the liquid light-curing composite material penetrates the porous enamel and securely "seals" the open surface of the tooth.

Indications for use include initial and surface dental caries, enamel hypoplasia and fluorosis (which is what the students treated in their fellow student).
