Викладачі кафедри українознавства та гуманітарної підготовки ПДМУ разом із групами І-ого курсу стоматологічного факультету вшанували пам’ять жертв Голодомору 1932/1933 років і масових штучних голодів 1921/1923 і 1946/1947 років. Згадали про мільйони людських життів, які Україна втратила внаслідок Голодомору і масових штучних голодів, переглянули матеріали, створені Українським інститутом національної пам’яті.
Цього року ми втретє вшановуємо жертв геноциду в умовах повномасштабної геноцидної війни рф проти України. Трагічні події, які ми переживаємо, засвідчують: жива пам’ять надзвичайно важлива; ті, хто чинить злочини проти людства, мають бути засуджені світовою спільнотою, а жертви – гідно вшановані.
Сьогодні росіяни знову застосовують проти українців методи геноциду, щоб знищити нашу ідентичність, культуру, мову. Нинішня російсько-Українська війна спрямована не тільки на те, щоб знищити незалежність Української держави, а й щоб винищити українців як самобутній народ, як націю.
В умовах нинішньої російської агресії наша пам’ять про Голодомор 1932/1933 років є чинником суспільної мобілізації українців і світової спільноти для протидії агресору. Увесь демократичний цивілізований світ висловлює підтримку Україні. Сили безпеки й оборони України героїчно протистоять ворогові. І кожен із нас, пам’ятаючи про злочини тоталітарного режиму, усі сили має спрямувати на підтримку наших мужніх і відважних захисників.
In Memory of the Victims of the Holodomor
Faculty members of the Department of Ukrainian Studies and Humanities at PSMU, together with the groups of the first-year students of the Faculty of Dentistry, honored the memory of the victims of the Holodomor of 1932–1933 and the mass artificial famines of 1921–1923 and 1946–1947. They remembered the millions of lives lost in Ukraine as a result of these tragedies and reviewed materials prepared by the Ukrainian Institute of National Memory.
This year marks the third time we commemorate the victims of genocide amid the full-scale genocidal war waged by russia against Ukraine. The tragic events we are enduring underscore the critical importance of living memory: those who commit crimes against humanity must be condemned by the international community, and the victims must be appropriately honored.
Today, russians once again employ genocidal methods against Ukrainians, seeking to destroy our identity, culture, and language. The ongoing russian-Ukrainian war aims not only to obliterate the independence of the Ukrainian state but also to annihilate Ukrainians as a distinct people and nation.
In the context of russia's current aggression, our memory of the Holodomor of 1932–1933 serves as a vital factor for societal mobilization among Ukrainians and the global community to resist the aggressor. The entire democratic, civilized world stands in support of Ukraine. Ukraine's security and defense forces heroically confront the enemy, and each of us, remembering the crimes of totalitarian regimes, must channel all efforts to support our brave and courageous defenders.
