За сприяння доцентки Златослави Шаєнко відбулось засідання здобувачів вищої освіти ПДМУ, які є учасниками СНТ кафедри ендокринології з дитячими інфекційними хворобами. Вони спілкувалися з хлопчиком, який хворіє на цукровий діабет 1 типу.

Чим цікава була зустріч? Пацієнт показав сучасні діабет-гаджети: розглянули роботу помпової інсулінотерапії- найсучаснішого методу в лікуванні діабету, який допомагає поліпшити якість компенсації та значно спрощує життя людини з діабетом; розглянули сучасні технології відстежування рівню цукру в крові в режимі реального часу 24/7 (безперервний моніторинг глюкози).

Ця зустріч була надзвичайно корисною з урахуванням сучасних можливостей лікування та моніторингу рівня глікемії.

Student Club Members Communicated with a Patient at the Club Meeting

Under the guidance of Associate Professor Zlatoslava Shaienko, a meeting of PSMU students who are the members of the SSG at the Department of Endocrinology with Pediatric Infectious Diseases took place. They communicated with a boy who has type 1 diabetes mellitus.

What was interesting about the meeting? The patient demonstrated the cutting-edge diabetes gadgets: they examined the operation of insulin pump therapy - the most advanced method in diabetes treatment, which helps improve compensation quality and significantly simplifies the life of a person with diabetes; they discussed the state-of-the-art technologies for real-time blood sugar monitoring 24/7 (continuous glucose monitoring).

This meeting was extremely beneficial considering the modern treatment and glucose level monitoring capabilities.
