20 березня 2024 року делегація зі студентів інших ЗВО побувала у Полтавському державному медичному університеті. ЇЇ очолювала Президентка Української асоціації студентів Поліна Гомбалевська. А серед членів делегації були представники Виконавчого комітету УАС: віце-президентка з регіонального розвитку, керівниця Секретаріату Катерина Бородавко, координаторка Національного об`єднання студентів-експертів із забезпечення якості вищої освіти, членкиня Виконавчого комітету із роботи з питань медіа Ірина Дем`яненко.
Першою була зустріч юних гостей з ректором ПДМУ, професором Вячеславом Жданом. Він зробив короткий історичний екскурс у минуле Альма Матер, яку і сам закінчив 40 років тому. А оскільки студентів цікавила наукова і творча діяльність провідного медичного вищого закладу в Україні, то більш детально зупинився на сучасній системі підготовки спеціалістів, яка створена внаслідок багаторічного особистого і управлінського досвіду спілкування з людьми, усвідомленні того, що «один у полі не воїн!», а відтак, успіх залежить від спільних зусиль команди, в якій працюють однодумці, тобто спільних зусиль всього науково-викладацького колективу. «Університет пишається своїми випускниками, які працюють у всьому світі і своїми успіхами завдячують Університету. Головним у його діяльності є забезпечення оптимальних умов для навчання і комфорту, в яких студенти навчаються», - зазначив ректор зокрема. – Ваша мета сьогодні – навчатися, наша – навчати, і тоді ми якнайскоріше разом наблизимо Перемогу!»
Керівник відокремленого підрозділу УАС в Полтавській області, студент ПДМУ, Володимир Добровольський розповів своїм ровесникам з інших ЗВО про те, що студентська спільнота Університету надзвичайно пишається своєю Альма Матер, і її студенти не сидять, склавши руки, а зробили і продовжують робити багато корисних справ як в умовах минулої пандемії COVID-19, так і сьогодні з перших днів російсько- Української війни. А ще вони успішно навчаються, проходять практику в лікувальних закладах і загалом живуть насиченим подіями цікавим студентським життям, як і має бути у справжніх успішних студентів!
Після зустрічі з ректором ПДМУ, професором Вячеславом Жданом, студентська делегація спілкувалася з першим проректором, професором Валентином Дворником, проректором з навчальної роботи, професором Давидом Аветіковим та проректором з науково-педагогічної і виховної роботи, професором Валерієм Похильком. Відвідали також і бібліотеку ПДМУ і побували в одному із фантомних класів, де з цікавістю оглянули унікальне обладнання для навчання майбутніх лікарів-стоматологів.
Приємно вражені побаченим та почутим представники УАС висловили слова подяки за привітну гостину, а Президентка Української асоціації студентів Поліна Гомбалевська офіційно вручила ректору ПДМУ, професору Вячеславу Ждану Подяку за активну участь у розбудові студентського самоврядування регіону, конструктивну позицію при вирішенні питань студентства та сприяння діяльності національних молодіжних інституцій.
A significant meeting at PSMU: a student delegation from all over Ukraine gets acquainted with the University
On March 20, 2024, a delegation of students from other higher educational institutions visited Poltava State Medical University. It was led by the President of the Ukrainian Student Association Polina Gombalevska. Among the delegation were representatives of the Executive Committee of the UkrSA: Katerina Borodavko, the Vice-President for Regional Development, Head of the Secretariat; Iryna Demianenko, Coordinator of the National Association of Student Quality Assurance Experts, a member of the Executive Committee in charge of media affairs.
The first meeting was with the Rector of PSMU, Professor Viacheslav Zhdan. He gave a brief historical overview of the Alma Mater, which he himself graduated from 40 years ago. Since the students were interested in the scientific and creative activities of the leading medical institution in Ukraine, he elaborated on the modern system of specialist training, which is the result of years of personal and managerial experience in communication with people and the understanding that "one man alone is not a warrior," and therefore, success depends on the joint efforts of a team of like-minded individuals, that is, the collective efforts of the entire academic staff. "The University is proud of its graduates who work all over the world and owe their success to the University. Its main activity is to provide optimal conditions for learning and comfort in which students study," the Rector emphasized. "Your goal today is to learn, and ours is to teach, and then we will achieve Victory together as soon as possible!"
Volodymyr Dobrovolsky, the Head of the UkrSA's separate branch in the Poltava region, the student of PSMU, told his peers from other institutions about how the university's student community is extremely proud of its Alma Mater, and its students are not idle but have done and continue to do many useful things both during the past COVID-19 pandemic and today, from the first days of the russian-Ukrainian war. They also successfully study, undergo practical training in healthcare institutions, and generally lead a rich and eventful student life, as befits truly successful students!
After the meeting with the Rector of PSMU, Professor Viacheslav Zhdan, the student delegation met with Professor Valentyn Dvornyk, the First Vice-Rector; Professor Davyd Avetikov, the Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs and Professor Valerii Pokhylko, the Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs and Extracurricular Activities. They also visited the PSMU library and one of the phantom classrooms, where they eagerly examined the unique equipment for training future dentists.
Impressed by what they saw and heard, the representatives of the UkrSA expressed their gratitude for the warm hospitality, and the President of the Ukrainian Student Association Polina Gombalevska officially presented the Appreciation Note to the rector of PSMU, Professor Viacheslav Zhdan, for his active participation in the development of student self-government in the region, constructive approach to student affairs, and support for the activities of national youth institutions.
