About Dr. Yana Yemchenko
Dr. Yana Yemchenko is a Ukrainian dermatologist and venereologist, Head of the Department of Dermatology and Venereology at Poltava State Medical University. She holds the academic rank of Associate Professor and earned her Doctor of Medical Sciences (Dr. habil.) degree in 2022.
She graduated from the Ukrainian Medical Stomatological Academy in 2008, completed internship, clinical residency, and postgraduate training in dermatovenereology. Her PhD thesis focused on individualized treatment for patients with psoriatic disease and metabolic syndrome. In 2022, she successfully defended her doctoral dissertation on the role of interleukin-33 and macrophage polarization in psoriasis patients with obesity.
She has authored 92 scientific publications, including 6 in Scopus (one in Q1 journal 'PPAR Research'), 18 in Web of Science, and 68 in Ukrainian professional journals. Over the past three years, she has published 18 papers, including 2 Scopus, 5 WoS, and 11 national publications. She also holds a utility model patent.
She frequently presents her work at national and international conferences and is an active member of the Ukrainian Society of Dermatologists, Venereologists, and Cosmetologists (ULDVK). In 2018, she received a Certificate of Honor from the Poltava Regional Council for her dedication to medical science and education
