14 вересня 2026 року, у перший день навчання в офлайн-форматі, на кафедрі українознавства та гуманітарної підготовки ПДМУ відбувся інформаційно-просвітницький захід зі студентами першого курсу спеціальності «Медична психологія», присвячений академічній доброчесності.
Разом із доценткою Оленою Шевченко першокурсники з’ясували, що означає академічна доброчесність у навчанні та чому вона є важливою складовою освітнього процесу. Особливу увагу звернули на принципи чесності, відповідальності, самостійності та поваги до результатів інтелектуальної праці інших.
Під час зустрічі розглянули, які дії вважаються порушенням академічної доброчесності. Студенти дізналися про такі прояви недоброчесної поведінки, як списування, плагіат, використання чужих праць без належного посилання, обман та інші форми академічного шахрайства.
Окремо обговорили, як дотримуватися принципів академічної доброчесності під час навчання. Студенти з’ясували, як правильно працювати з інформаційними ресурсами, виконувати самостійні завдання, цитувати авторів і відповідально ставитися до власних навчальних результатів.
Захід став для першокурсників можливістю не лише отримати нові знання, а й замислитися над власною відповідальністю за результати навчання та формування професійної культури майбутнього медичного фахівця.
Академічна доброчесність починається з кожного з нас – із чесного навчання, відповідального ставлення до знань і поваги до праці інших.

Academic Integrity: Learning to Study Honestly
On 14 September 2026, on the first day of in-person classes, the Department of Ukrainian Studies and Humanities at PSMU held an information and awareness-raising session on academic integrity for first-year students of the Medical Psychology program.
Together with Associate Professor Olena Shevchenko, the first-year students explored what academic integrity means in education and why it is an important component of the educational process. Particular attention was paid to the principles of honesty, responsibility, independence, and respect for the intellectual work of others.
During the session, the students discussed which actions constitute violations of academic integrity. They learned about such forms of academic misconduct as cheating, plagiarism, using other people's work without proper citation, deception, and other forms of academic fraud.
The participants also discussed how to adhere to the principles of academic integrity throughout their studies. The students learned how to work properly with information resources, complete independent assignments, cite authors correctly, and take responsibility for their own academic achievements.
The event gave the first-year students an opportunity not only to gain new knowledge but also to reflect on their personal responsibility for their academic results and for developing the professional culture of future healthcare professionals.
Academic integrity begins with each of us — with honest learning, a responsible attitude towards knowledge, and respect for the work of others.
