28 листопада, у переддень свята Андрія Первозванного, на кафедрі філософії та суспільних наук панувала магічна атмосфера. Викладачі кафедри провели незабутню подорож у минуле для здобувачів освіти ОПП «Стоматологія» та іноземних студентів. Тут, серед майбутніх фахівців медичного профілю, ожили давні традиції, що протягом століть формували духовний світ нашого народу.
Здобувачі освіти разом із викладачами долучилися до захопливого виховного заходу, який відкрив перед молоддю глибину й мудрість українських звичаїв. Лунали легенди та оповіді про апостола Андрія — покровителя ремесел, мужності й щирої віри. Учасники поринули в атмосферу стародавніх ворожінь, калити та юнацьких забав, відтворивши обряди, що бережно передавалися від покоління до покоління.
Особливий інтерес у студентів викликала символіка свята. Під час обговорення наголошувалося: традиції мають не лише розважальний характер — вони навчають взаємоповаги, відповідальності та єдності. Саме ці якості є невід’ємними для майбутніх стоматологів, адже професія вимагає не лише високої майстерності, а й тонкого відчуття людяності.

“Andriyiv Rituals: A Heritage that Unites Generations”
On 28 November, on the eve of the Feast of St. Andrew the First-Called, a magical atmosphere filled the Department of Philosophy and Social Sciences. The department’s lecturers organized an unforgettable journey into the past for students of the Dentistry educational program and for international students. Here, among future medical professionals, ancient traditions that have shaped the spiritual world of Ukrainians for centuries came to life once again.
Together with their lecturers, the students took part in an engaging educational event that revealed the depth and wisdom of Ukrainian customs. Legends and stories about the Apostle Andrew — the patron of crafts, courage, and sincere faith — echoed through the hall. Participants immersed themselves in the atmosphere of ancient fortune-telling, kalita festivities, and youthful games, recreating rituals carefully passed down from generation to generation.
The symbolism of the holiday sparked special interest among the students. During the discussion, it was emphasized that traditions are not only about entertainment — they teach mutual respect, responsibility, and unity. These qualities are essential for future dentists, as the profession requires not only high skill but also a deep sense of humanity.
