14 жовтня 2025 року відбулася традиційна зустріч ректора Полтавського державного медичного університету Вячеслава Ждана за участю першого проректора з наукової роботи ПДМУ Валентина Дворника та деканів факультетів зі студентським активом: членами Студентського парламенту, профспілки, волонтерських загонів, Студентської ради Фахового медико-фармацевтичного коледжу.
Такі зустрічі давно стали доброю традицією, коли студенти приходять на них з низкою наболілих питань, у вирішенні яких їм завжди на допомогу приходить очільник їхньої Альма Матер – ректор Вячеслав Ждан. Як правило, спілкування відбувається у форматі невимушеного відвертого діалогу, впродовж якого завжди знаходиться місце й одкровенню ректора про певний досвід власної студентської юності, а отже, і повного розуміння печалей та радощів сучасного студентства. «Колегами» під час зустрічі називав своїх юних співбесідників головний Навчитель майбутніх лікарів, а які ж можуть бути секрети серед тих, які служать єдиній справі, мають єдину ціль і долають спільні труднощі?! Їх і не було й цього разу. Пристрасно ділилися наболілим студенти, виважено і з розумінням ставився до почутого їхній ректор. Звісно, не всі їх можна було чи буде вирішити водночас, і не всі вирішуються на рівні Університету, який є державною установою і має чітко виконувати вимоги. Понад усе - Закон. Тож слідувати його Положенням – священний обов`язок кожної державної установи і кожного громадянина. України. А ті проблеми, які можуть бути вирішеними найближчим часом на рівні адміністрації університету, звичайно, будуть вирішеними. Їх також було чимало. Серед них наболіле – боротьба з пропусками без поважних причин, які, на превеликий жаль, трапляються, а з огляду на часті обстріли енергосистем України, прохання про можливість підведення оптоволоконного інтернету в приміщення гуртожитку № 3 для створення мережі спільного користування, у звʼязку з різким похолоданням про можливість зміни щодо початку опалювального сезону в гуртожитках та аудиторіях університету, тощо. Аргументували, доводили, спростовували. Все, як і мало бути при діалозі, коли сторони слухають одна одну, чують сказане і поважають думку співрозмовника.
Загальне фото учасників на згадку про чергову ділову зустріч засвідчило, що всі отримали вичерпні відповіді на актуальні запитання і готові до наступних відвертих спільних обговорень та вирішення проблем сьогодення.
5.Чи можливо розглянути варіант оплати за проживання в гуртожитку поквартально — не лише для додаткової оплати, а й для основної? Для батьків багатьох студентів оплата повної суми в даний час є фінансово складною, а поквартальний формат допоміг би зменшити навантаження.
6.Чи передбачене покрашення умов проживання у гуртожитках у зв'язку з
підвищенням оплати? Студенти зазначають, що попри підвищення вартості умови залишаються без суттевих змін, і при подачі письмової заяви в журнал, на жаль, вона залишається без відповіді. Хотілося б зрозуміти, чи плануються конкретні заходи з ремонту?
7.Мотиваційний фактор навчання є підвищена стипендія, а в цьому році студенти які вийшли на неї чомусь її не отримують. Чи буде вона ?
8.Як скоро зʼявиться оновлена форма підготовки до кроку на рівні університету в зв'язку з оновленням структури самого КРОКу?

Dialogue with the Rector: Discussing Current Student Issues
On October 14, 2025, a traditional meeting was held between Rector of Poltava State Medical University Viacheslav Zhdan, First Vice-Rector Valentyn Dvornyk, and deans of the faculties with representatives of the student body — members of the Student Parliament, the trade union, volunteer teams, and the Student Council of the Professional College of Medicine and Pharmacy.
Such meetings have long become a good tradition, providing students the opportunity to raise pressing concerns that always find a response from the head of their Alma Mater, Rector Viacheslav Zhdan. As usual, the communication took place in a friendly, open-dialogue format, during which the Rector also shared sincere recollections from his own student days — experiences that help him fully understand the joys and difficulties of modern student life.
The Rector referred to his young interlocutors as “colleagues,” emphasizing that there can be no secrets among those who serve a common cause, pursue a shared goal, and overcome the same challenges. This time was no exception. Students spoke passionately about the issues that concern them, and the Rector responded thoughtfully and attentively.
Of course, not all matters could be resolved immediately, and not all fall within the University’s direct authority as a state institution that must strictly comply with regulations. Above all — the Law. Adhering to its provisions is the sacred duty of every public institution and every citizen of Ukraine. Nevertheless, the issues that can be addressed at the university administration level in the near future will indeed be resolved — and there were quite a few of them.
Among the most discussed topics were:
- Unjustified absences from classes, which unfortunately still occur;
- A request to install fiber-optic internet in Dormitory No. 3 to create a shared network, especially in light of frequent power outages due to attacks on Ukraine’s energy infrastructure;
- A proposal to start the heating season earlier in dormitories and university buildings due to the sharp drop in temperatures.
Arguments were presented, opinions exchanged, and conclusions reached — just as it should be in a true dialogue, where both sides listen, understand, and respect one another’s viewpoints.
A group photo at the end of the meeting captured the spirit of mutual understanding and cooperation — a sign that everyone received comprehensive answers to their questions and is ready for the next round of open discussions and joint efforts to solve current challenges.

Is it possible to consider introducing a quarterly payment system for dormitory accommodation — not only for additional payments but also for the main payment?
For many students’ families, paying the full amount at once is financially difficult, and quarterly payments would help reduce the financial burden. -
Are improvements in dormitory living conditions planned in connection with the recent increase in accommodation fees?
Students note that despite higher costs, the conditions remain largely unchanged, and written requests in the complaint log often go unanswered. They would like to know whether concrete repair or renovation measures are planned. -
The motivational factor for studying is the increased academic scholarship. However, this year, students who qualified for it have not received it. Will it be paid?
