11 вересня 2026 року, напередодні Дня українського кіно, викладачі кафедри філософії та суспільних наук ПДМУ провели для здобувачів освіти 1 курсу ОПП «Стоматологія», ОПП «Фармація» та 2 курсу ОПП «Парамедик» інформаційно-виховний онлайн-захід, присвячений історії та сучасності українського кінематографа.
Під час зустрічі учасники переглянули документальний фільм «Ти чуєш мене, друже», який став основою для розмови про людину, її досвід і пам’ять, а також про можливості мистецтва розповідати реальні історії бойових медиків, які рятують життя на передовій.
Окремо учасники говорили про історію українського кіно, його становлення, визначних діячів та важливі творчі здобутки, а також про роль кінематографа у формуванні національної культури й самосвідомості українців.
Головним висновком заходу стало усвідомлення того, що українське кіно – це не лише мистецтво, а й наша пам’ять, голос, культура та спосіб розповідати світові про Україну.

On Ukrainian Cinema Day: PSMU Students Discussed the History and Present of Cinematography
On 11 September 2026, on the eve of Ukrainian Cinema Day, lecturers of the Department of Philosophy and Social Sciences at Poltava State Medical University (PSMU) held an online educational and awareness-raising event for first-year students of the Dentistry and Pharmacy educational and professional programmes and second-year students of the Paramedic educational and professional programme. The event was dedicated to the history and contemporary development of Ukrainian cinematography.
During the meeting, the participants watched the documentary film “Do You Hear Me, My Friend?”, which served as a basis for a discussion about people, their experiences and memories, as well as the ability of art to tell real-life stories of combat medics who save lives on the frontline.
The participants also discussed the history of Ukrainian cinema, its development, prominent figures and significant creative achievements, as well as the role of cinematography in shaping Ukraine’s national culture and the national identity and self-awareness of Ukrainians.
The key conclusion of the event was the understanding that Ukrainian cinema is not only an art form, but also our memory, voice, culture, and a way of telling the world about Ukraine.
